Our D was incredibly good tonight .

Emelin
Subban
Gorges
Weber

And the others were good as well.

The player that stood out the most tonight was Yemelin. His first couple of shifts were shaky, but he got comfortable. That is exactly what I would like to see from him, take advantage of opportunties and play yourself into the lineup rather than out of it.

Now we know what it took to beat Carolina. Just sign Eric Cole to our team.

Yeah he looked like he really took a big step forward tonight...7 hits and 7 blocked shots, 18 minutes including PK time.

Per NHL.com

Tie-Breaking procedure

* - Division leaders are seeded 1, 2, and 3 in Conference standings. If two or more clubs are tied in points during the regular season, the standing of the clubs is determined in the following order:

1.The fewer number of games played (i.e., superior points percentage).

Also, I love what this team looks like with a Mobile defense. Diaz, Subban, St-Denis, Yemelin and Weber all could skate and are agile. It showed, the transition game was beautiful.

Kinda weird Palushaj didn't earn more ice time in the 3rd from Martin, but everyone was awesome tonight.

DD over 50% in the circle again... who would have thought he'd be our best faceoff guy after the start to his season.

Great win. Seems like they got bored in the 3rd at times. Move into an 8th place tie with Ottawa and Jersey (5-2 NJ over Buffalo in 3rd). Habs now 3 pts back of Buffalo and Toronto for the division lead. Go Habs Go!

Great job by the coaching staff tonight.

Not an incredibly hard task to beat Carolina but I thought the team game was great tonight and the coaches have to get some credit. Playing with such a young defense and gained a shutout. Price

Missed the game cause of driving classes. Cant wait to watch Canadien Express.
Cole is freaking awesome though. Guy seems to fit perfectly with the teams sense of humor.

That's pretty amazing when you think about it. Hopefully this team can continue in this direction..7-2-1 in the last 10 games!

As good of a game it was by Montreal, it was equally piss poor from Carolina. Full credit for the win tho.

Aside from a few careless plays on passes up the middle (Eller needs to stop this), etc, they played a sound game.

Cant ask any more of Emelin. Played strong and laid the body. Ate up 18 minutes too.

Nice to see Cammelleri score and have a decent game.

Price full credit for the shutout.

Cole (his mimics) was talking to Gomez who was at the penalty box for the too many men on the ice ! per l'Antichambre.

My bad, I thought we had the same number of games, but we'll still be 9th since Jersey's creaming Buffalo.

Goes to show you that people should wait until at least 20 games in before they start whining.

7-2-1 since the Pearn firing.

Before that team the habs scored the first goal 5 times, yet lost three times. Since the firing they've scored the first goal 6 times and have won 5 of them. The PK improved dramatically also during that time. If the PP gets going and they get healthy, the habs are definitely a top team in the east.

As much as you try, his jersey still says Emelin

I can't remember the last time I've seen a goalie clear the puck so much on a penalty kill in one game.

Amazing game by Gorges. I really hope we keep this guy. He carried the defense.

St-Denis handled himself pretty decently.

Cole with another great game aaaand... a creepy face. That was awesome.

Great game!
