I think the second was when Gomez was coming back from the penalty box. The first... dunno... trolling?

They really started the new season on game 9.

The first 8 games were still of training camp quality.

7 hits and 7 block shots tonight for Emelin.

34 hits on the season in only 10 games (and not a lot of ice time), he's a rock !

The guy will be a stud for years to come.

Nice to be on the inside looking at the outside now for the 8th spot.

Gotta laugh McGuire just giving an excuse for the Canes with Pitkanen missing from their line-up...does that idiot know we have Markov, Campoli, Gill, Spacek, Kostitsyn and others out from ours???

Sick of that a-hole.

Emelin rocked tonight. Subban finally gets a goal! Great game, for once the team we have on paper (currently) appeared to be as good as I though they could be. Shocked on the Price shutout but I did have a feeling we would dominate Carolina tonight. Glad we're not looking too shabby record wise now too.

Is anyone able to break down what our record actually is since coming out of that early slump?

20 mins TOI: two assists, 52% on the faceoff circle, helped shutdown the Staal line. Another quietly effective night for Gangsta.

Pleks now has 16 points in 18 games.

7-2-1 since the Pearn firing.

Before that team the habs scored the first goal 5 times, yet lost three times. Since the firing they've scored the first goal 6 times and have won 5 of them. The PK improved dramatically also during that time. If the PP gets going and they get healthy, the habs are definitely a top team in the east.
Goes to show leafs fans they shouldn't be planning the parade either

I have to admit even I was a little pessimistic but at the same time this team just has too many good players all around to be bad. Our goal differential wasn't bad most of the year either. Now our wins are representative of our current rec. We're +1 and 8-7-3.

I fkn hate McGuire. What an a-hole.

He has a clear bias against the Canadiens.

After his 2 quick pts, I was sure he was going to have a 4-5 point night. Had a great game, now we need Gio to wake up a little

I was never worried since in the majority of the games they lost, they were the better team. No way you can have a losing season while consistently outplaying your opponent, it makes no sense. Also the habs' shooting % was putrid, only a matter of time before it came back to the norm.

I think everytime he crossed the blue line he was trying to shoot. At one point he reminded me of Sergei Berezin. But yes I agree, since the Nashville game he has played very well

PK's goal reminds me that he needs to use his wrist shot more often.

You'll get no arguments against that from me. I think we have a good team that really seem to gelling.
