Ugly:
The fact that this is the most lifeless Sabres team I've ever watched. How does it look like you're going through the motions in NOVEMBER? Disgusting. Way too much talent on that team for it to be this way.
Good:
-Myers was beastly.
-Brodeur was equally as beastly. Held his guys in the game.
-Thought Leino had a real strong game. Good on the boards. Had Ruff's confidence. Creative plays. Assist.
-The effort in the 2nd/3rd was real strong. Outplayed NJ I thought.
Bad:
-Enroth was fighting it tonight. Bad rebounds.
-Mental lapses.
-No forwards scoring.
-Defensive breakdowns.
ugly:
-Not getting the effort level we saw in the later periods in the first peiod.
I don't get how this team has a good record. They really don't try...ever.
This reminds me of how I felt sometimes about the 06-07 team. They'd get down, wait a couple of periods and then get a few late goals to pull games out. Though, the goals seemed to be a lot closer to the buzzer.
G:
Myers, great bounce back game. Especially the Zubrus hit.
Getting chances, if not for Marty's glove we win easily.
Stafford had strong drives to the net
B:
Erhoff's indifference is infuriating to watch
Roy had some stupid penalties
Staff has to finish some of those drives to the net
U:
Our goalies are getting run night after night. Teams are exploiting our fragile nature and until the Sabres start to respond, it will continue.

I get what you're saying but there was a different feeling in 06-07, I literally never felt like they were going to lose until the final horn blew.
I don't get the cliff edge attitude people take with this team.
They lose a game and they don't care and don't try and won't make it out of the first round, but this is still a damn good hockey teams. NHL teams lose to other NHL teams, it just happens.
I think the Sabres outplayed the Devils tonight, but some bounces went the wrong way and Brodeur just outplayed Enroth tonight.
Good:
Myers
Sekera
Regehr
Pominville
Vanek
Leino was okay
Bad:
Roy is so awful at covering up for pinching defensemen
Stafford doesn't have a lot of hockey smarts and it shows, he's still a gifted scrorer, but plays die on his stick if he gets the puck in a non-scoring position
Enroth and Marty faced about the same amount of quality chances, Marty made a handful of saves Enroth didn't

Yeah, that's pretty much the difference. We don't have those two guys that'll pot one in the final seconds every time. Surprisingly Gerbe comes to mind if there was anyone close in that regard. I'm not saying it has that same feeling but their "we'll just come back later" mentality is what I was getting at.

It's not really the loss, it's the cumulative effort that the team is putting forth, it's a culmination of the entire season, underachievement, lazy play, this team will not get out of the first round unless they get a favorable matchup. Look how they responded to the hit on Miller, aren't they supposed to have each others backs? A team that doesn't believe in each other will go nowhere, who knows what the problem is.
I can't remember all the goals they were on the ice for.... But the one i remember.... Goose loses faceoff...boom...puck in net... hard to blame D on that.
Probably get roasted but I don't think the Sabres played all that bad of a game. Just fell behind early and Jersey seemed like they had their share of fortune tonight and the good guys didn't.

In other words, anyone but Boston or Pittsburgh, correct?

R and W were a -2 tonight. So yea, they kinda sucked tonight.
