I'm happy with the team effort but I have a serious question about TM. IF he freakin insists on using Kopitar's line against the other team's best line, WTF is the point of having a checking/shut down line? He needs to take advantage of Kopi's line with the home change by putting him out there against their 3rd 4th lines. Take advantage of the last line change ffs.

The Kings don't have a Checking/Shutdown line. You really want the Third or fourth line out there against Getz/Ryan/Selanne ?
They have Kopi and Richards basically. And the Richards line in the Third was getting owned by that top line.

richards line was out there against the ducks top line for the most part. and the kopi line was out there against them because we dont have a checking line and he is much better defensively than stoll and he can nullify the size of that line with his size. and not to mention kopi's line as usual dominates possession which is an effective way to nullify the oppositions offensive attack because there is none. stoll is only good for shootouts, it takes hockey sense to be good defensively (mike richards perfect example) and stoll has none !
First off, Hiller is well above average. Secondly, the way the Kings played in the 3rd period was complete fail by coach Terry Murray and basically begged the Ducks to score the tying goal. Lucky to get the OT win when you go up against Getzlaf, Perry, Ryan and Selanne in the Shootout.
I leave with the hope that people always say: "Defense wins championships" because this team the way it stands is not going to be scoring a lot of goals under this coach.
Richards had the goal, but he was awful defensively.
I want to see Williams higher in the shoot out...everyone else seems to ditzy doodle with there fancy moves but he and Stoll just shoot and shoot hard.
Well Loki had some nice strips; What did Murray say? or was that Sarcasm ?
He basically praised both Loktionov and Voynov. Said how great both of them are with the puck and had no fear having Loktionov out there against the Ducks' top line.
I'm glad they won, but it's totally unacceptable to give a division rival a free point, especially with that swiss cheese defense that was gifting the puck to the Kings for the first 40 minutes of the game. Honestly the Kings were lucky to walk away with the extra point all things considered. That being said, there should be no reason they don't dismantle the Ducks tomorrow.
As an aside, whoever came up with the idea to have Kings talk at the Mariott should be fired. You end up listening to 5 minutes of Daryl rambling on about everything that Nick just finished talking about in the recap in order to give Nick time to get over there to start the show. I'm able to walk from the rink to where my car is parked on 4th street, drive to Pasadena, go to a drive through to get something to eat, and get home and if I'm lucky MAYBE I hear two callers. Lame.

The background noise on the post game show is something I could do without as well.
I would like to see what happens with Williams on one point, Stoll removed, and Loktionov in Williams former spot. The point guy doesn't necessarily have to bomb ****** slapshots all the time. Wouldn't be great to remove Hunter though, he's the one guy on that whole unit who can fetch the puck out of corners and screen the opposing netminder.
Too much Hunter and Stoll on the PP and not enough Lokti.
I was wondering this too. Hunter on the PP, really? And running the 2nd unit out there time and time again at the start of the pp had me scratching my head too.

Why did Hunter sit for most of 3rd period? Did he make a bad play?
I don't think that was a choice. Give the Ducks some credit, they came back hard in the third, but I would've felt cheated if we'd lost this game.
I think it was a little bit of both. The Ducks definitely played a good third period but I think it's obvious the Kings let up as well. That game had comeback written all over it from the beginning. Thankfully we got the win.
