Damn it, I wanted to make a pre-game day thread. I am 3-0 for those.

Just so you know why I might creat a pre-game day thread about 2 hours before punching ;-)

Anyway, good luck Habs!

Oh, I was wondering. Why people are dismissive of the idea that Emelin is like Hal Gill?

Hal Gill is that kind of player who is at his best when the play closes and everything gets tighter. This is why he is usually much better in the 2nd half of the season or on the PK.

Yesterday was the most defensively tight game the team played this year. Emelin seemed to thrive and dominate in that kind of playstyle.

Is it that bad of a comparison to make?

There'll be 4 swiss players (Weber, Diaz, Streit, Niederreiter) on the ice tonight, pretty amazing.

Uh no. They'll be flying home after the game tomorrow.

I hope the Rags go out in MTL on Friday night though and get destroyed by our strippers, our secret weapon...

The Isles are very weak on the back end and erratic in net. But what's the deal with their slumping young forwards Okposo, Bailey and Comeau? All three are so skilled but not producing at all.

Is Okposo on the market? What would we need to give them to get him in Montreal?

I know they are looking for D and at the moment, we can't share one with all the injuries. In a month, would Emelin and a pick be enough? (I do like Emelin and he was fantastic last night but he hits too much for JM's liking)

3-2 Islanders.
St-Denis & Gionta injured. Cammalleri doesn't finish the game.

I think every game we want him to score. But for some reason, would be nice if he did it today.. I'd settle for a empty net goal or a garbage own goal.. I want to see if this guy can get a monkey off his back after he scores a goal.

#Isles offer: ticket to tonight's game, Tshirt, hot dog and soda for $30. If it was a weekend game, MTL fans would sell it out.
$30 for all that? Unreal.

Yet, they still don't sell out. Unreal aswell.

But seriously 30 for that, doesnt even get you a ticket into the Bell Center.

It is indeed awful. Maybe the Habs can wear their barber shop jersey to match.
