My favourite hockey nick name was the Pain Train in honour of the Terry Tate: Office Linebacker videos.
I earned that nickname when I was 14 after making the biggest hit of my life on an opponent and made him cry on the ice.

Most of the time I was just called by other nicknames that don't really have much to do with hockey.

My last name sounds like a nickname anyway (rhymes with "Rosie") but they call me Hull or Hully because I like to score goals and love Brett Hull.

My nickname is "SHOOT". Everyone seems to yell that at me when I have the puck and they look like they want a pass.

Moose. Typical hockey nickname. A couple of guys started calling me it in my freshman year when I kept showing up to practice in sweat pants with moose on them, my girlfriend bought me a scarf with a moose embroidered on it, and I played a very north/south crash and bang game, they said, like a moose.

I was "Handsome Dave" in my league as a teenager Took a decade off, moved halfway across the country, joined a new league and have no new nickname.

No relation or resemblance to Handsome Pete, BTW.

"Chrissy" because my name is Chris, very uncreative. There's a guy on my team that everyone calls "bograt" or "boggers" which was derived from that. I have no idea why, I asked and he said he's been called "bograt" since he was 10

Not mine, but my kid's nickname is Bulldog. Due to his size. He's small and doesn't backdown from no one in front of the net or in the corners. His coach gave it to him 2 years ago and it's stuck.

Kinky.

And I hate it. Especially when guys on the other team use it, just makes motivation to beat them at everything.

Mines Slash cause one all my teams I was played goalie and forward. we had three kids who played goalie and most of the time we only dressed one goalie so we would take turns playing goalie unless someone was on a hot streak most of the time for state i would play net cause the other two were better defenseman and I was a forward mostly.
