it's not just him.

we so thoroughly slapped the canes around last night that we forgot who was playing defense for our side.

d is as much to blame for the loss as buds

Yes, he did. The Rangers hated him too, man.

He sucks. There's no other human term available to describe how bad Gomez is.

He seems like a great person, but a good hockey player, he is not. He's so bad I'd take Mike Komisarek back AND use him at forward.

Gomez and Martin are about as far apart as you can get with their approach to the game. So tell me again why Gomez is out there in key situations.
maybe Martin has no choice in the matter, it might be orders coming from upstairs.

Emelin needs to stop skating facing our OWN goalie on opposing team rushes, how can he see the play unfolding in front of him if he can't see it!? Still love the kid tho. Speaking of kids, how beastly is patches!

If he can't/won't be sent in the AHL, someone get Gomez to lick Gill's jockstrap.

Emelin was being pressured by 3 NyI players he was only one back because Diaz was caught up. Then throws the puck other side of the boards outside blue line figuring someone would be there but guess what no one there.Defencemen from the Islanders picks it up...I dont blame Emelin on that especially there was 2 islander players right on him.

When you have a mediocre middle of the pack team that's dealing with key injuries you get games like this..

I just hope when Markov returns JM doesn't put Pleks on the point with him. I swear JM is just trolling everyone now by continually putting Pleks on the point on the PP.

From what I saw in the 3rd, everyone played a half-baked game.

So our #1 center *cough* can't outplay other teams 4th line players. Now that should say everything about him.

I don't mind someone saying a player played a bad game... but it's ludicrous to pin the reason for a loss on two players. C'mon. Emelin made some mistakes and did not have a good game. Who bailed him out? No one.

We can't expect to win every game 2-1 or 3-2. When the defense makes a mistake we have to crank it up, especially against a bottom place team like the Islanders. In fact, we knocked their goaltender out of the game.

No, you are wrong. This was a team effort and blaming it entirely on two players is ridiculous.

Gomez doesn't take a hit to make a play, Eller has terrific puck procession and is so strong down low. So who is on the ice ...3 smurfs...who is on the bench...Cole, Patches, Eller.
A friggin monkey could coach better than JM!!!

of course.

but blindly blaming the coach for the player's ****ups on the ice is just as stupid

I think they hated Kovy too.Yet Montreal fans for the most part loved him .

I'm just saying as you know, when a player don't like a coach , he isn't gonna give it his all, seen it tons .If the player wants out , they half ass it happens .

I'm not trying to defend Gomez, but let's be honest, playoffs against Flyers ,Gionta Gomez and Darche line 1..That continued during regular season next season following .

..It has an effect on players minds .

Remember how well "Alex" Kovalev played on line 4???

And how well he played with Steve Begin on first line with him???Kovy didn't like it .
