Nov. 23 update: Jagr will miss the next two games, could return December 2

http://www.csnphilly.com/blog/flyers...254&feedID=695

Quote:
Flyers' right winger Jaromir Jagr suffered a groin pull, sources said, early during Thursday's game against Phoenix and did not return.

The Flyers gave no specific details.

However, Jagr apparently was sandwiched between two players during a shift, winced in pain, then left the ice.
EDIT:

From the Twitter of Sam @ Inq.:

Quote:
Jagr injury not serious, Homer says. Will miss at least one game but may play Mon
From the Twitter of Frank @ Daily News:

Quote:
Jaromir Jagr has a new, lower-body injury that is not believed to be serious. Will not make the trip to Winnipeg tonight.
From the Twitter of Wayne Fish:
Quote:
Jagr injury not serious, might play Monday, according to Homer.

Could return Monday, per Holmgren. But we know how that goes. Wait and see.

Hopefully he'll be good. They said it was mild, but having a groin injury in my past I know they can linger. Literally I would pull my groin every time I tried to make a cut when playing football. I never went to a doctor though, and I'm sure he's got some of the best in Philadelphia. I'd say give him an extra few days just in case.

Just think, 15 years ago we hated him. Keep that in mind. Nothing will be different (except that we're paying him)

well that blows. I was really looking forward to seeing him live in the Peg. I wonder how the lines will be shuffled.

Rinaldo and Zolnierczyk playing too good for him to get his place back?

Can one of them play center, btw? I know that I've seen Rinaldo listed as a center somewhere, but I don't know if he's ever actually played it. Zolnierczyk-Rinaldo-Nödl would probably not see many minutes as a line, but I'd rather have Couturier up in the top 9 than Nödl. Maybe Zolnierczyk moves up, he has the speed to cope at least (god damn, he's fast).

Nodl was listed as having a knee injury on one of the news sites.

Zolnierczyk was a C in college, IIRC. Rinaldo has mostly played wing.
