That passionate outburst a few games ago sealed his fate.

I do not understand why I prefer him over Dorsett in our roster.

I hope Sens will take him because their situation in Binghampton is tragical... full of players injured... and for a long time.

(Please read in your best Godfather voice.) "You touch Ricky's friend, you may as well be touching Ricky himself." See ya Cody.

Please disregard my previous post. I thought this thread was about Cody Bass, not Coby Bass.

Too bad. I'd rather see a bunch of undertalented kids that tried hard that the high priced floaters we have right now.

Dude cared. There's no place for that here.

No he hit Johnson, and it was his sole contribution. The idea that people are now upset at his release and blaming Nash ranks this high among the more rediculous threads ever started here.

I think I read somewhere that he was a bit outspoken a few times in the locker room. Trying to pump guys up etc. Obviously there is no place for that nonsense in that locker room. My bet is Nash had him removed for too much passion.

I got to spend a little time with Cody at the celebrity bartending event, total class act. He said he knew his role, loved that he was up with the big club but didn't expect it to last long, knowing that Boller was almost ready. Then he showed me his hands. It look like someone had taken a hammer to them. Made me love him even more, after I heard from other players that he plays hurt every single game.

Pete, can't speak for others, but my post was an attempt (a poor one in your eyes) at humor. For me, what Cody Bass brings to the table is easy to see and we already have it in Boll and Dorsett...And it's spelled "ridiculous", or were you trying to be funny?

Not trying, I just spell funny. My iPad is supposed to protect me from such exposure.

BTW, you want to get Rick Nash's attention? Don't strip away the C. Trade or waive Aaron Johnson. Send the message that this club is no longer going to revolve around HIM.

Honestly, just play him 15 minutes a night with Phalsson and RJ. Might as well turn it into a checking line and, hopefully, keep other teams off the board.

That's high praise. Or, the opposite but that still means the same thing.

Was this with the intention of being assigned to Springy?

Im a fan from ottawa and the sens and have been watching Cody bass develop and play for years.

I have watched almost every game that he has played this year with Columbus. Let me tell you the kid has heart and he is not a liability on the ice he is smart defensively and doesn't turn the puck over. He's not a big offensive threat but he is a solid player. You guys bash him and say he is horrible? Haha **** he has not been the problem at all this team has bigger problems them him. He deserves to be in the NHL.

I reread every post in the thread and no where do I see anyone bash him or say he is horrible. It was simply a numbers game, Boll is back in the line up and with Dorrsett there is just no room for Bass. The Jackets are keeping him with the team so if someone goes down he might get back in the line up.
