Yeah, I'm not a big death metal fan. But I really can't take chicks that sing death metal seriously. Just the way it is, sexist or not.

Loving the new 5FDP though:

Title to that song is a little appropriate for today's game... If it were 3-4 years ago.

After giving the Manchester Orchestra album a good listening to, still loving this song.

Lydia's AWESOME. Engineered by Aaron Marsh from Copeland. Love that ambient drum sound.

I've been on a huge Get Up Kids kick lately. Something to Write Home About has got to be in my top 10 albums all time. Haven't listened to it in almost a decade, but wow it's still amazing.

Nothing on that album comes close to being a weak song. Lots of energy, great melodies, great riffs, great beats, outstanding pacing between heavier and softer songs.

Florence + the Machine needs to find someone to write songs for them. Amazing singer, pretty good orchestration, just extremely bland aside from a few really good songs.

Jonny Craig has an amazing voice...if only he wasn't a crazy person.

I know, right? Probably my favorite singer of all time and now that I've been listening to all his stuff I can't really get into anything else the last few years. Dude needs to man up and kick the drugs and get into it. Otherwise it could be Amy Winehouse all over again.

Sitting here listening to Sleeping At Last's Yearbook and just getting my mind blown over and over. Reminds me of the first time I heard JEW's Clarity. Except this is a three disc album kind of. Music powerful enough to completely change your perspective, not just your mood. Incredible.

Been on a Mumford and Sons kick lately

Although that said, "Johnny Quest" is always a good song. Reminds me of a LTJ show at the Quest where they were trying to decided between "Johnny Quest" and "Automatic" and played both.

I remember seeing them on a whim at Ground Zero back in...98 I think? Past my ska/punk phase. Still blew me away. Fun band. Got me on a 90's punk kick. Reel Big Fish was another great show. Think I got to see all my favorite 90's punk bands back in the day...NOFX, Offspring (Smash tour), Bad Religion, MxPx, Unwritten Law. Good times.

I've seen LTJ a few times. Remember another show - which was also at the Quest - in 2003 or 2004 where the two openers were Fall Out Boy (touring on Take This To Your Grave) and Yellowcard (pre-Ocean Avenue). Pretty sure if that same show happened a year or two later the lineup order would have been completely switched around.

I was supposed to go to a Goldfinger/Reel Big Fish concert back in 2001 in Milwaukee but it got cancelled last minute. Would've been a SWEET concert to see.

I do love FOB's first album. Yellowcard I couldn't get into. The drummer had a SWEET drumset though, black DW's in John Bonham sizes with a woofer.

Forgot about Goldfinger. Adding that to the Spotify playlist now. Unfortunately they don't have old Blink 182. Never did see those guys live. Of course Dude Ranch was their best album.

Man music was pretty carefree and upbeat in the mid to late 90's, post grunge, pre rap rock.

90s post grunge and maybe the very front end of the pop-punk revolution were great, but I've more than moved on into more technical and precise things.

Long night, took my own time, some youtube and a couple of beers.

Standard procedure: Neil Young, Jeff Healey, SRV.. etc and I'm closing it with Lynyrd Skynyrd Free Bird. Good night everybody!
