There is a sizeable contingent of posters who either live in NC, used to live in NC, or are otherwise connected to NC. For those group of posters, it is a must win.

I think it really is a must win.

I think that because to me the team seems like they are just in a fragile place right now mentally. We've been hit with some injuries and some adversity and I'm afraid of what effect a losing streak might have on us. I think if they win a few games in a row starting tonight and get their confidence back, it could set the tone long term.

The Ugly:

Eric Staal's numbers! Yikes.

8 points and a -18! That does not reflect a Staalwart effort. Perchance, to dream, they can further Staal him from finding his accustomed level of prowess? Annnnd I'm spent...

wreck them - wreck their house - wreck their parking lot - toss hot natchos at them - scald them with hot coffee - firebomb their executive suite - find an appropriate orifice in which the Lester Patrick Trophy can be displayed, and insert it, firmly (including the plinth - lubricants are not necessary)

no axe to grind, here....

Is Rick J retiring?

I just thought I'd mention this to my fellow Sabre fans, I've been a Junior Hockey Broadcaster for 4-5 years, I'd love to one day be the voice of the Sabres after Rick.

Nobody will ever be able to replace that legend but it'd be a dream job calling the game for the team I love.

I'm the guy that got Heatley to sign my Sabres tatty in an interview if some can remeber. I was very small back then and it was rushed so the mic wasn't turned on but it's pretty funny.

From the summer of 2007:

Ps- thanks for the link.
