Nashville-Vancouver-Phoenix

Nashville gets: Kyle Turris
Phoenix gets: Cory Schneider
Vancouver gets: Patric Hornqvist

Nashville gets a potential first line center, Phoenix gets a long term solution in net, and Vancouver gets some goal scoring immediately.

Kyle turris isnt equal value to either of the other two players, regardless if he has a contract or not. phoenix has to throw in more to get close.......and then there is the continual reiteration that turris wont be traded

Why Schneider should be phoenix long term Solution in net while
Smith should not?

Both are UFA summer 2013. Smith is not that older (29yo vs 25yo).

Note that both sound like patch until Visentin is ready.

And what do you suggest Phoenix do with Smith/Schneider/Labarberra trio?

I don't get the continuing Schneider to Phoenix trend. Smith is doing great right now, and Canucks need Schneider because they don't know when Luongo will be back.

Haha its not a Schneider to phoenix trend....

Its a Schneider to wherever they think a team need a goalie trend, it goes back some years ago and since then we have seen more than 10 trades proposal involving Schneider every week.

Just look there - http://hfboards.com/archive/index.php/t-590612.html

Some excerpt:

''Will Lupul and a 1st rd pick land Schneider? what other player(s) would you want?''

''Lupul and a 1st could probably do it, but I'd rather go for Giroux and a 1st.''

''Carter +1st Round pick for Schneider''

So many teams needed a goalie since Schneider is in the league, So many teams did make a move for a goalie (trade or UFA). But Vancouver fans are still waiting.... Is Schneider the greatest goalie no teams ever wanted to trade what it take to bring him?

Im telling you, its all a giant conspiracy by Vancouver to boost Schneider value through rumor and Proposal.

No real interest in trading Turris for Schneider at this point.

In what way does Nashville get better trading a proven 30 goal scorer off to a good start this season for an unproven brat in Turris? A big no from Nashville.

Schneider for Hornqvist would work for Vancouver, but Nashville is set with goaltenders. Turris for Schneider doesn't work for Vancouver either. Finally, Turris for Hornqvist wouldn't work for Nashville, as the two posts above me note.

This trade doesn't work, even if Vancouver is on the winning side of the trade, because Nashville gets the lesser end of the deal. Hornqvist > Turris.

How about changing Hornqvist to Blum and Van sending Alberts to someone if needed.

Why does Nashville consider that? Despite his average play as of late Blum has been, for the most part, playing up to 18 minutes a night, and in some games been our third best defender. Turris and Alberts aren't that appealing if we're giving up on Blum this early in his career.

Don Maloney is not trading Turris this year.

Mike Smith has a 2.17GAA and a .934sv%

We don't need Schneider though, he'd be splitting maybe 15 games with Lindback. The only thing I'd want for Weber from Vancouver would be Kesler.

Smith is doing great behind Phoenix's defense.

Turris is stuck with Phoenix, until he acts his age and not his shoe size.

Vancouver sends Schneider to Nashville for Hornqvist
Nashville sends Schneider to NYI for Okposo, Niederreiter

Ya'll CRAZY if you don't like this a little bit.

Talk about a team who needs a long term goalie, and nash doesn't get a head case like turris.

I don't think Nashville needs Schneider. Can Vancouver get Okposo and Niederreiter? Oh crap, OT.

Vancouver should, if they could, trade Schneider to NYI for that package. I'm saving all my good english for writing papers, sorry.
