After they tied it up, we said, `We’ve got to get back at it,’ and we pulled it off tonight. Obviously you don’t want to give up any points. At the end of the year, the three-point games are going to be all over place, so you don’t want to give up points if not necessary. Last night was a big win for us, and then coming in here, we knew we obviously had a good chance of winning. We’ve always played pretty good in this building, so we just came out and got the job done.
That’s the scoring (balance) we need, the secondary scoring. Sometimes guys like me and Brownie don’t score any goals, but we get production from other guys. That’s when you win games.
Gagne’s such a great player, and he’s been in the league forever. He’s really responsible on the ice, especially offensively. He makes plays everywhere and he definitely helps us."

So when you have to sit for an extra 10, 15 minutes, whatever it was, it weighs on you. But both teams had to sit through it, so it’s not as though one team had an advantage. I think it’s just a real good team effort from us, in here, to turn it around. I think we were maybe playing 40, 45 minutes in the last five, six games ago, and that’s not enough to win in this league. I thought the last few games, we’ve really had a team effort, really talking about a lot of stuff in the locker room, to play the right way, play for 60 and give ourselves a chance, and I think we’re seeing that now."

I think, in both games, both teams played very hard. There were stretches in the games where both teams had good things happening in the offensive zone. They tied the game up; they had a big push. They really came at us hard. Quicker held his ground defensively. I think we competed hard in front of our net, just to get things calmed down. Made it exciting at the end. They tied it up and it was an exciting finish. Those (shorthanded goals) are a bonus, I think, any time you get a shorthanded goal. The people that are scoring them for us, that seems to be part of the m.o. that they bring, along with their play. I’ve seen it in the past. Gagne is an excellent penalty-killer. He’s got the speed and is a very skilled player who can take advantage of opportunities. So it’s a bonus tonight, that’s for sure."

- UPCOMING SCHEDULE -
NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

I'm going to be in this game! I'm 1-2-1 in live games. That 1 win was from my first game when I was a fan of the opposing team.
So if they lose.....

If we keep up the momentum and the shot mentality and we'll get the 2 points. They have two games in hand on us, so ending up 6 pts ahead of them by tomorrow night is that much more important.

I can't be the only one that just expects Kings losses when Detroit comes to Staples Center, can I? Let's break that mind set with a big win tomorrow please. Sure would love for once to expect them to beat Detroit. Especially since they are my least favorite team barely beating out the nucks. Go kings........ Please

We are 79-73-27-4 all-time against Detroit, so I have no clue why you would think such a thing.

The wings are still a good team, but they're inconsistent right now, so it's hard to tell which team will show up. While it seems like we're hitting our stride right now and getting more consistent at it. I think we just need to show up with the same intensity and shot mentality of the last few games.
...of course it's a Saturday afternoon game, so who knows.
