"As for Josh, I thought he bounced back nicely on Thursday after his turnover cost the Isles dearly on Tuesday. He made a terrific pass to set up Jay Pandolfo on his goal Thursday night. He has the vision and hands to be a good player at this level, it’s just up to the Isles’ coaching staff to help re-establish his confidence."

It's comments like these that really get my blood boiling. That's why everyone keeps holding on hope for Josh Bailey. It's up to the Isles coaching staff to give him confidence, lmao!! He's an adult!! It's up to him to get his act together. I've never seen people making 6 and 7 figure salaries get treated like such babies before. It disgusts me.

Unfortunately, since a coach is not on the ice performing things himself, it's part of his job description to find ways to get the guys on the team to perform on the ice. It's not an easy job. He has to coax them into performing, any way he can.

Ultimately, it's not about being an adult or not, or what the actual player is capable of.

It's about how to have that player regularly contribute what he's capable of. That responsibility has long since been given to the coaches and coaching staffs as part of their job description.
