Nashville gets: Kyle Turris
Phoenix gets: Cory Schneider
Vancouver gets: Patric Hornqvist
Nashville gets a potential first line center, Phoenix gets a long term solution in net, and Vancouver gets some goal scoring immediately.
Kyle turris isnt equal value to either of the other two players, regardless if he has a contract or not. phoenix has to throw in more to get close.......and then there is the continual reiteration that turris wont be traded
''Will Lupul and a 1st rd pick land Schneider? what other player(s) would you want?''
''Lupul and a 1st could probably do it, but I'd rather go for Giroux and a 1st.''
''Carter +1st Round pick for Schneider''
So many teams needed a goalie since Schneider is in the league, So many teams did make a move for a goalie (trade or UFA). But Vancouver fans are still waiting.... Is Schneider the greatest goalie no teams ever wanted to trade what it take to bring him?
Im telling you, its all a giant conspiracy by Vancouver to boost Schneider value through rumor and Proposal.
Schneider for Hornqvist would work for Vancouver, but Nashville is set with goaltenders. Turris for Schneider doesn't work for Vancouver either. Finally, Turris for Hornqvist wouldn't work for Nashville, as the two posts above me note.
This trade doesn't work, even if Vancouver is on the winning side of the trade, because Nashville gets the lesser end of the deal. Hornqvist > Turris.
How about changing Hornqvist to Blum and Van sending Alberts to someone if needed.
Why does Nashville consider that? Despite his average play as of late Blum has been, for the most part, playing up to 18 minutes a night, and in some games been our third best defender. Turris and Alberts aren't that appealing if we're giving up on Blum this early in his career.
