Who doesn't love Biron?

I don't want to start a new thread so I'll post this here. Does anyone know why the Rangers had a 2 man advantage against Montreal last game after that large scrum? I read answers before but didn't really understand them.

So many painful memories from MTL, but this one probably takes the cake.

That being said, if any of you have never been to a game in Montreal, you really must. The atmosphere is like no other. I just regret was too young to really ever see a game in the old Forum. I can't even imagine what that must have been like.

i think it was too many men. Then the montreal player who was technically illegally on the ice as a 6th forward body checked dubinsky. So it was called interference.

something like that i think.

You are correct that's exactly what was called.

I wish we could have Biron Mic'd up and listen to a whole game's worth of Marty chatter.

During a delayed penalty for too many men on the ice (first penalty), the illegal player (still a bench player according to the rulebook) interfered with the play (delivering a check on the puck carrier) before Cole made it to the bench (second penalty).

Hope this clears it up.

cally probably deserved the instigator but other than not going mtl's way, i found mtl deserved their other penalties. The can complain all they want.

I fully support Biron in net. This is a good move.

The key to this game is to hit everything that moves right out of the gate. Aggressively forecheck like they got the last slice of pizza.

I expect big things from Avery tonight - get them off their rocker!

How do they decide who the illegal player is and he can't check a player with the puck, because he's not supposed to be on the ice? Thanks.

I'm one of Henrik's biggest critics, but I dont like the move. You want to use Biron when Henrik's workload is bunched up around a string of games.

Henrik has been very good this season, sans a few hiccups. But henrik is playing well of late, he's rested and healthy, and the team is playing great in front of him. Why screw with what's working?

To me, it's like Girardi or Torre not letting Rivera close a game against the Sox because they had roughed him up in recent outings. The guy is your ace, franchise closer. You live and die with him.

Dont get me wrong -- I'm a huge Biron fan. He's been a Godsend. And I like the fact that he's from Quebec and gets to play in front of family and friends.

But if they lose, automatically, the blame might go to Torts

Love the move to start Biron -- Henke sucks big time in Montreal. Think the last time he won there was in 2009, and even when we play against them at MSG, he gives up <3 goals.

Biron is good enough to beat this team. Just gotta play a sound game in the NZ.

What's the problem if he gives up less than three goals in MSG? Or was that a typo?

I think we should have started Lundqvist though.

I don't really have a problem with Pierre McGuire. It's Ranger-Hater Doc Emrick who really annoys me. Torturous.

He was the 6th player to jump onto the ice, it was pretty clear.

Enjoy.

Have you been utilizing any of the online streams to watch the previous games?

Biron has been solid. I'm down with this move. Henke seems like he gets psyched out at the Bell Center for whatever reason...

Wow the Habs are really banged up on D. Gotta take advantage of such a young, inexperienced defense.

NHL games played:

Diaz - 19
Emelin - 11
St. Denis - 2

Now if the team doesn't play like crap like they usually do in MTL they should be able to get 2 points. I think Biron will play very well.

8 in a row fo sho.
