leafs will be rolling a semi-AHL lineup tonight with their injuries. if the caps dont win...im not sure i'll have any words.

on another note, green still not even skating...lol, pathetic. especially the caps understanding of the term "day-to-day".

I won't have any words that will make it beyond the sensors.

No official line-up yet but looks like we will see the following:

Ovechkin (8) - Johansson (90) - Semin (28)

Eakin (50) - Backstrom (19) - Brouwer (20)

Chimera (25) - Laich (20) - Ward (42)

Hendricks (26) - Halpern (15) - Knuble (22)

Hamrlik (44) - Alzner (27)

Erskine (4) - Wideman (6)

Schultz (55) - Carlson (74)

Vokoun gets the nod.

i like that lineup actually. put the $17M semivisible wingers with mehjo, hope the 3rd line rekindles its early season dominance in both ends.

4-3 Caps, Damnit.

This is awesome. No one tweaks the media like Crazy Ron:

Katie Carrera | Hilarious moment in Wilson's presser when he tells reporters Komisarek will need surgery: "Go ahead, start tweeting. See who’s first, see who wins the gold medal for the day. I win!"

Capitals to face Jonas Gustavsson in net for Toronto

1-1-1 in three career appearances against the Capitals with a .871 save percentage and 3.93 goals-against average

A little dose of this guy's poor goaltending is just what the Caps offense need to get on track.

I'm just not really convinced Eakin can produce as a second line winger yet. Since it looks like Bruce has relegated Knuble to the 4th line absent an injury, I guess they're going to have to trade for another top 6 guy at some point this season. I like the other 3 lines though I'd like to see more goals from the 4th line.

YES! Finally, lets try Backstrom and Ovie separated. I hope it lasts more than 2 shifts, I'd really like to see these two apart for a bit.

Caps wake up. 7-2. Eakin x2, OV, Backy x2, Wides, Hendricks

Will settle for winning 1-0 or 15-14 on own goal.

this is like the 3rd time weve seen it so far? and like the other 2 they'll be back together before the 3rd starts. unless the mirage of torontos horrible, depleted defense and backup goalie forces BB to resist his urge to put them back.

Whats your beef with Carlson and Alzner seperated with Green out of the lineup?
If they skate together, the 3rd pair would have to be two immobile defensemen together. Schultz and Erskine together would be smooth.

HNIC pregame just ripped Ovechkin to shreds.

Carlson is back with Alzner, which makes sense due to the importance of the Kessel line with Grabovski/MacArthur out.

Erskine with Wideman, Hamrlik with Schultz. At some point I think you need to put Hamrlik with Wideman and not be afraid of Erskine with Schultz. It is what it is.

Once again, interested to see how well they're able to chase that prime match-up.
