Stoll and Hunter are proven scorers? Sorry but what they did many years ago means squat now. Hunter is a fringe NHL player, there is a reason the guy was un-signed and came here as a tryout. Stoll has 3 goals in nearly a half seasons worth of games, and that includes tons of PP time, he has been invisible offensively in that time frame, barely even registering shots some games. And that is in a 3rd line role, not facing top checkers. He can't be counted on to provide offense.

Clifford hasn't provided much grit this season. I loved his game last year but he has played worse than Ryan Smyth in March.

Moreau, another guy no one wanted. Was terrible in Columbus and outside of a few games has been terrible here. Hasn't scored a goal in nearly 60 games, takes dumb penalties.

I like Lewis and Richardson, but they are limited 4th line players, and both have played poorly this season.

The numbers don't lie, the Kings bottom lines have been awful this season.
Everyone but the top line has been awful this season, skill helps tremendously to negate the system you are restricted by. Moreau is a solid checker and battles hard, Stoll can score, 20 goal scorer last year, and our best faceoff guy, he is a solid third line center. The bottom 6 isn't expected to score, the top 6 are, they are expected to put on pressure in the offensive zone and hopefully pot a few. We have the players to accomplish that.

Hunter is like Handzus, he has just rehabilitated from a major injury, but he has been a solid scorer before and adds a shot to the bottom 6. We may not be as strong as Frolov-Handzus-Simmonds, but we are not garbage or bottom 25%, we are still strong. Murray has a plethora of options for the bottom 6, it just depends on how they are utilized. We have underperformed, but I wouldn't just say "the players suck" and walk away.

Moreau, Stoll, Richardson, Lewis, Fraser, Hunter, Clifford, Westgarth, and Parse should be capable of getting the job done (not to mention our prospect depth). We may not be in the top 25%, but they are capable. Certainly not dog ****.

Can anyone find out if Terry Murray was living or traveling through Saskatchewan in the early 80's, that would explain quite a bit about why Stoll plays so much.
We have the players to put together a better bottom 2 lines. When everyone's healthy we just need to select the best 6 out of these surplus of players:

Penner
Lokti
Stoll
Parse
Richie
Lewis
Fraser
Moreau
Hunter
Clifford
Westy

Are you telling me we can't find a legitimate 6 from these players?

I don't know. Are they doing this because something is going on at Staples tonight or did the NHL force them to start the game early so they can put it on NHL network and then block out the channel.

I have a bad feeling that this will be the start of another 5-6 game losing streak.

The Kings need a more offensive minded coach.

Unlucky bounce from Kopitar. Tried to get it behind the net and it took an unlucky bounce of Johnson straight to Datsyuk.

Just a really bad game by Quick. You don't see it often but man, he's just not getting enough of these pucks.

I don't know whats more comical, Ethan Moreau getting PP time. Or Jarret "3 goals in 40 games" Stoll getting promoted to play with Mike Richards.

@ScoreZeGoals, Terry and Jarret should go on Maury and do a blood test. I don't know what else it could be.

The following FORWARDS have 1 or fewer goals

Stoll
Clifford
Richardson
Moreau
Westgarth
Fraser
Penner
Loktionov
Lewis
Parse

Williams has 3

so who was saying you could make a good bottom 6 out of those players?

Let's face it, this team right now is 3 players, Gagne, Richards and Kopitar.
