It's not even really that. It's about skill, the Kings have very little of it. The Wings do Dump and chase, Board play as well. But they have the skill to retreive the puck, and POSSES it after the dump.
The Kings lack it. It's really odd that losing Zus and Simmer, has really exsposed how thin the Kings are when it comes to Puck Possesion guys.

It's not just a Wings thing. It's a first part of the season thing. They have been pretty bad for it. They have one decent game, then they suck for the next Five (Bottom Six).

Stoll has 6 points which means he's in the middle of the pack. Not great but nothing to complaint about. And I agree that the bottom 6 needs to produce more but it isn't because we don't have the right players. We have the players. We just need to put together the right line combos when everyone is healthy.

That's putting it mildly. The Kings were not even in the Game at any point. Maybe the first Ten Minutes ?
The Wings brought their A game and the Kings didn't. I believe the Kings can beat Detroit if they brought their A game, but I believe the best the Kings have played so far this year is about a B-. Even with their big win against St. Louis earlier in the year.
