90 minutes?? The Pegulamobile surely could cut that in half!

Well, wait a minute. TJ is actually playing in Toronto as we speak for the 3 PM game. I wonder if any player has played 2 games in a 8 hour time frame?

Hopefully, Boyes, Leino and Stafford can finish some of their chances tonight. I'm really liking that line.

4-1 Buffalo.

If GDT isn't up by 10:00, whoever reserved it loses it and anyone can make it.

So it was free for her to make. And minimalism = awesome. If you don't like it, sign up for a GDT and do it your way instead of complaining about it. As Chain put it in the sign-up thread, "put up or shut up".

I was browsing around stats on nhl.com and noticed that the opposing team is scoring more often shorthanded at First Niagara Center than on the powerplay while Buffalo is on the road.

When Buffalo is on the powerplay at First Niagara Center:
the opposing team has scored 3 shorthanded goals on 44 Buffalo powerplays (6.81%)

When Buffalo is shorthanded away from First Niagara Center:
the opposing team has scored 2 powerplay goals on 30 opportunities (6.67%)

Don't underestimate Phoenix. I've seen them a few times this season and they aren't Gretzky's bunch of duds anymore. Vrbata is scoring, the team plays well on the road and is 6-2-2 in their last 10.

Buffalo's playing back to back and coming off travel. They will lose their legs at some point in the game (2nd period I'm betting) and that's when the Yotes will be most dangerous.

Sabres squeak out a win in OT/SO. 4 - 3.

I'll do ya one better. Milan Bartovic once played a day game for the Sabres and then arrived midway through the first to help the Amerks playoff push during a 7:35 start.

Anybody who's been paying attention to the West should know that this team has been much better over the last TWO seasons, making the playoffs during that time both years. The season right after Gretzky, after having never finished higher than 11th in their history, they finished 4th, only to run into Detroit in the first round---and I believe THAT went to 7 games!

Yes, Phoenix is for real, for over two years running.

A little early for standings talk but why not... with a point tonight, the Sabres move into first in the Eastern Conference nearing the quarter season mark.

No one pulled up lame (or lamer, some of those blueliners... well... ya'know).

Link to the game so I can watch anyone?

Sorry if that's annoying, I just don't live anywhere near Buffalo and only see them when they are on Canadian tv or the NHL network.

I won't call it a must win, but this conference is PACKED. It'd be nice to see some separation.

well unless Pittsburgh wins tonight. But still, it's pretty awesome we've been able to keep pace w/ both teams considering the glaring issues we've had

Those were probably the best anthems I've heard this season. Tara Minogue?
