Everytime we go to the Bell Centre it's the same song and dance.
The fans? We do that to everybody. We can be dicks when we're all in one place. Plus its fun to chirp. The refs? As far as I know, its rare to have the same refs everytime NYR is in Montreal so I can't really speak to that. I doubt that there is any statistical support for that claim though. I will give you this, no game reffed by Auger can be considered a well reffed game, he's certainly screwed us before.
It seems like NYR just came out flat and Montreal came out pissed they gave away last game to the Isles. It will be much closer next time we play.
So if we beat Montreal 4-0 at MSG, we should be chanting that song in game 17 of the regular season? Makes a ton of sense. Chant something else, I don't care, but chanting that just makes their fan base seem even more arrogant, ignorant, and absurd than ever thought of before.
We get ole'd and na na na'd in every arena when we lose, including yours.

doesn't help that the rangers play their worst game of this season so far there tonight.
...uh, last game against the NYR, the refs gave us an undeserved 5 on 3 and 7 straight penalties. Last year, we were one of the most penalized teams in the league, and no player ever gets suspended when they commit an illegal play against the Habs. Complaints of the refs being biased = incorrect, and a sign of sore losing.
24 Stanley Cups really don't hurt, even if none has been won in almost 20 years. I'm just saying. It's not bad. Ask a Yankees fan.
I'm a Yankees fan and I don't feel entitled to anything. Just because we put our money back in the product we expect them to go out there an work hard, just ask the Phillies. In baseball, because teams have money to spend, doesn't mean they should have a sense of entitlement to the championship. Every Yankee fan I know understands they still have to play the game hard and smart.
That egomaniacal attitude right there is why MTL fans are the scorn of the league.
You guys aren't better than any other hockey fan out there, there is nothing special about being a MTL Canadien fan.
Habs fans chant every game, all the time. we chant, win or lose. Or we boo. I'm saying get over it because Habs fans know perfectly that it's game 17 of the season. They paid their tickets and they're having fun. There's nothing arrogant or egomaniacal about that.
This is why ou have to get over it. I don't resort to personal attacks against other team's fans simply because the team I cheer for lost a game.

Yeah, MTL fans didn't place one ounce of blame when we beat you last time, right? Get off your high horse.

yea, underserved. so tonight was the make up game? whatever, do what you want it's your building. we just look at you and laugh.
no sore losing and the refs didn't lose it for us. all on the rangers tonight.
Yea there is. They won all those French-Canadian rule induced Stanley Cups
Their organization also created the QMJHL and large parts of the WHL. Plus, they one a few cups after that rule was abolished.

I thought that was fairly obvious. Then again, as hockey fans, you do whats most enjoyable. And hating other teams and fanbases is quite fun and acceptable, as long as you don't generalize. The chanting is a large aspect of why the Bell Center is general said to be the loudest in the league and its general harmless, if annoying.
The only positive to take out of this game is that we can go back home and we don't have to deal with any of these fans until later on in the year.
I'm not going to complain about the reff'ing--I already knew that MTL would have numerous powerplay opportunities given the circumstances surrounding the game. The Rangers sucked tonight against a mediocre team. We can't win every game. Put this **** show behind us and get ready to destroy Florida.

wtf are you talking about? It's simply delusional to pretend the Habs(or any team) are in league with the refs. I'm not standing on any high horse, thank you very much. Simply tired of being personally attacked, honey.

what are you trying to prove here now? we lost. you beat us.
this is the NYR BB. you don't belong here.
