Well... Pleks does not equal Staal.

But overall, Carolina is a sinking ship. We are the Vegas of the hockey world. Money, girls, the life. But you never win.

The irony is that our management has always focused on character and a conservative scheme. Not sure I'd do any different actually. It's a quandary.

I love Cole. I actually can't think of a player I dislike on this club for the first time in years. I could live without regular season Gill, but playoff Gill wins me over fast.

Pissed me off.
It's funny because they post like their team plays. One guy goes in and plays the role of the pest, than 4 others come in for the kill.

And how can you not like Cole, he is quick and goes to the net. Loves to score goals. Did you see the pass to Weber on the PP last night ? WOW !

Wow this is awesome. Having that good of a chemistry is GREAT for a team, anyone who played hockey in their life knows that.

Exactly. I actually hope when Gill comes back they alternate him and Emelin or Diaz. I think it could be mutually beneficial.

This is what they said on Antichambre after the game as well. He was telling Gomez "you're coming right to the bench after you get out" on the bench penalty. rofl!

I'm starting to think that Cole carried Staal. Staal just looking awful out there.

Cole is the man, first player in a while that we've signed that I felt was a great match for the team.

Cole has played very well now, for the past 10-12 games...he deserves a better fate on the score sheet, but the points are coming...we are now a better team 5 on 5 and he is one of the main reasons...love the way he hits!

even when he's not scoring, he's doing something for the line he plays on

Not necessarily. I think a physical presence on the back end would be great, but the addition of patches and cole have really opened up the zone for our smaller forwards. Eller will do the same in time.

We're sitting at 15th in the league in hits, which is better than most people would guess. Columbus is 1st.

It's a bit of a skewed stat you're giving here when 3 guys (Moen, Cole and Emelin) count for 33% of those hits. I still think that they could use more physical presence, although it is better than in years past for sure.

It's a bit lopsided but we are also missing two of our most prolific hitters in Kostitsyn and White.

Staal scored 40 goals and 75 points in 2009, without Cole at time struggling with the Oilers.

Staal and Cole complimented themselves very well, but let's not get ahead of ourselves, Eric is definitely the better of the two.

What a pick up by Gauthier. Cole has complimented the team so well, like Overlords said, he's like that long-skinny piece in tetris.

Rocking my Cole jersey with pride.

Where's that Leafs fan laughing at me owning one now?
