Seriously ?
Washington and Montreal both have 21 points right now, whereas Martin have to deal with a depleted defensive group plus an ineffective Gomez paid 7M$ per year.
Boudreau probably have, on paper, the deepest and more talented team in the entire league. And the best scorer in the game.

Martin is not a perfect coach, but honestly, there is not a lot of coaches who can implement a better system and give some structure to a team.

Holy crap, 5-1 in the first period with five minutes left.

Oilers are slaughtering the Blackhawks right now.

Ya no one talking about Roman Hamrlik anymore, wonder if the people that wanted him back still feel the same way

I know you may not care but it's worth mentioning the Wild will be first in the NHL after tonight.

That's unreal.

Whoa it's like the world is upside down.

Toronto were 1st a while ago, now Minnesota are 1st. Who's next? Columbus? (Okay maybe I went to far...)

I CARE! It's incredible indeed. Talk about weak D doing a great job. I thought, with Burns gone, they'd be terrible on D/transition. Heater is actually clicking and Seto hasn't lost a step. I'm sure Scandella is a big part of that too.

Well, Scandella is out with a concussion since last week.

He was playing well.

I didn't know. Haven't watched the Wild since mid/late October. Lats still out?

Yeah, he is.

Still, a terrible news. Let's just hope it won't turn into a Bouchard situation.

I watched the game tonight.. Actually whatever I could after the Habs game and I have to say Koivu is one of the most underrated players in the game! Wow just wow! Would of been a dream if we somehow picked him out of Minny and had him here playing with his smaller big bro!

Also, I was looking for Lats and realized he wasn't playing, checked tsn and says he out with a concussion on LTIR. What happened? Seems he's been injured pretty often since he went there.

Carter and Wiz score their firsts for a Columbus win. Yes you read that right. Turnaround point? Maybe....

Everything started with this hit in Calgary. His helmet literally broke.

How do the Oilers lay 9 on Chicago of all teams?

If anyone needed any more proof that weird stuff happens in hockey...

Did he continue to play after that hit?

Yes and he got a minor hit the game after in San Jose at the end of the second period.

He didn't finish that game and didn't play another one yet.

Give it another 20 games and things should be back mostly to normal.

wow...

Blackhawks got plastered.

Saw them last night in Calgary, despite the score they actually outplayed the flames for most of the game. Kipper kept the flames in it early with 3-4 highlight reel saves, and then flames were opportunistic in scoring 2 quick goals to start the 2nd which more or less gave them the win.

I left the Saddledome thinking the Hawks look damn good, about as good as I've seen a team play despite a loss.

the back-to-back-to-back road trip through Vcr/Cgy/Edm must have caught up to them something awful.

Hossa & Toews are absolutely incredible to watch live... vision, skating, puck skills, awarness... they both do it all, fun to watch.

almost as surprising as the blowout loss, is how well the Oilers young trio has been playing... they are putting up some ridiculous numbers despite barely being too young to drink in the U.S

Pretty stupid on the team's medical staff part. I guess it's hard when the player says he's ok but you gotta make the hard decision sometimes and play it safe. From the looks of that video he played right away, and probably made it 100 times worse then it could of been.
