I've cheered for the Jays and Expos in the playoffs/World Series, but I rarely watch any ball during the regular season.

Jays fan. Used to like the Expos, but didn't care much for it until I started to play baseball *Which they were gone by then*

Yes I am a Montrealer, yes I followed the expos for years.
BUT, something started to go way wrong. Every year the expos would lose the best players because they could not match the offers of the NY Yankee type BIG city teams. The unlimited player contracts offered by those BIG teams has always existed and for years the expos were told that the league will level the playing field with a salerie cap. Well we In MTL waited and waited and waited, until one fine day the MTL fans just gave up.
attendance was down to 5000 per game and the teams was sold.
This of course was years ago now and MLB still has no level playing field.
I don't watch any baseball at all. I don't want a new baseball team.
The players use drugs, the owners lie lie lie about it just to make more money. The Big teams still steal all the best players of lessor cities.
Baseball IS NOT a fair game, it's totally fixed in favour of those big teams.

The game itself is a good game. The owners, the players, the league administration are ALL LIERS.

I'm a big time baseball fan, and I root for the Blue Jays. It was hard to like the JP Ricciardi years though... But now the team is young and exciting, not unlike our own Senators. Gotta love the new-old jerseys too!

Like many others, it's the media hype and bias toward the Maple Leafs that makes me hate them. I have nothing against the city itself. But I think baseball suits Toronto better than hockey!

Let's hope Ottawa gets a AA or AAA farm team for Toronto.

I was an Expo fan from day 1 and attended many games at Jarry Park and at the Olympic Stadium. I was able to cheer for the Jays when they came along because they were in the other league. I always wished for an Expos/Jays World Series. I still support the Jays but don't feel nearly as much affection for them as I did for the Expos. Rusty Staub is still my favorite ball player of all time.

Baseball's a pretty beautiful sport IMO, but the league is just a representation of the US itself. The goal of a player isn't necessarily to win it all, it's to play for the Yankees and have a chance to win it all every year.

Ditto. I lived and breathed Expos baseball from1979 t 1994. After the strike I still followed it but never went to the games and was only mildly interested.

As for the BLue Jays I always considered them the Expos rivals and therefore always disliked them. The Toronto media always took potshots at the Expos which was the main source of my dislike.
