Semin needs to go before Bruce...and Bruce needs to go. But moving Semin first is the only appropriate message. He's a cancer.

No truth to the rumor that all local affiliates will also, like Versus and the NHL Network and the Travel Channel, preempt regularly scheduled programming to bring you the Penguins game. I think.

4-3 Caps.

I say 3-1 Coyotes. Haven't scored more then 1 goal in a game since the first game against the Devils.

Afterward, the Washington Post asked GM George McPhee if he wanted to give Boudreau a vote of confidence and he declined comment. The Ottawa Sun notes that former Capitals menace Dale Hunter has cut his coaching teeth in the Ontario Hockey League.

That's a good point, he started playing really well when Toronto was serenading him. For those going to the game, should start to chant his name early, or MVP like the old days at the Phone Booth to try and get him going.

I'll be surprised if Mafki pulls the trigger on Bruce before trying to make a trade to shake things up. Or before allowing Green to come back 100%.

Its not even close the defcon status anyways. Not yet.

Hunter's a serious gamble, IMO. Wouldn't want some old school coach out there either..seriously potential blow up there also.

Still weird after that Nashville where they played so well even if they lost right at the end then to have a couple swoon games.

You can't deny there's that feeling in the atmosphere, but it's been much stronger during other times such as the December streak and the playoff flame outs. Maybe if there was a clear cut choice for head coach the whispers would be louder. I just don't see it, yet.

no scoring, no defense, no toughness, no system, no work ethic. i would figure that equals no win, but heres hoping otherwise.

They canceled all the other games so they could assign all of the league's referees to the Penguins' game to watch over him.

I completely disagree. I think the team wide issues indicate that Bruce must go first. Then you can evaluate the players in the light of effective coaching or at least the absence of totally ineffective coaching.

Papa rumored to be sweetning the 1/2 price deal to any of the following:

4 goals
4 Semin penalty minutes
4 poke checked Ovechkin breakaways
4 in game GM grimaces of terminal indigestion
a 44 count on Bruce's Comcast **** bomb counter.

I would to love to have Hunter. Of course that is mostly the nostalgia and he would demand work ethic. Give it time though and people will be flaming about him like they did Wilson and BB.

It's called the "Slow-Mo-Fo Defense deal".... I hear that Subway is suing for the rights to use that saying as it was implied in their 5....5 dollar slogan.

I would say close to two years now. He had two greats season as his break out. Since then he can not hold up with the other teams pounding him. They know his game dropes way off banged up. And these days he cant even stay on the ice.
