Hartford vs. Portland

I guess without Wiseman on the team, the Wolf Pack are not worthy of a GDT!

They are down 3 to 2 in the second period, Giroux and Rullier with the goals.

I love how detailed the score sheets are that the AHL provides:

Quote:
GAME NOTES: Game delayed for broken glass in second period thirteen minutes.
Pack down 4-3, Taffe with a goal, Immonen with an assist.

The team comes first always. Always the team, not the individual players. That being said... Way to go, Jarkko Immonen! Another point for him. Where's the call up I've been dreaming of?

We'd all like to see Immonen Padawan but it looks like someone will have to get hurt first. I don't know if he's used to playing wing at all but he'd have been the first forward down there that I'd have brought up--not Wiseman (who's been playing well too).

Giroux has been a machine of late, getting short handed goals and putting up good points.

I'd bet he gets called up if Nylander gets hurt. Otherwise, I think that the Rangers would line juggle.

I've been waiting for him, too, Padawan!

He's no winger. Immonen's a pure center so I'll guess he'll get alot of ice time in Hartford and gets called up when a ranger center gets hurt... Not to hope anyone would get hurt but I'd really, really love to see him play in the NHL.

I think that at this point, most of us would like to see him. He is clearly ready to play with the big boys. He would be a fine #2 center instead of Rucchin, who, while a solid citizen, is no longer a 2nd line player. However, barring an injury to Rucchin, Immonen will have to wait until next year.

he'll get his chance. the season is long and injuries happen. plus the rangers probably don't want to pay a fine for not playing him

Well, not exactly! LOL! I would have started the GDT, but I was at the annual Barons booster club's Meet the Team party. Hopefully we'll grab 2 points on Wednesday!
