I just heard it on 980. And no mention of Crosby over the last 2 hours I've been listening. Refreshing.

Predictions on tonights Caps game?

After that embarrassing 7-1 loss to the Leafs, I expect Ovechkin and the Capitals to be fired up and ready to go! My prediction for the score tonight is 4-1 for the Capitals!

Funny, BB does remind me of Whimpy from Popeye.

I think if there is any chance of them getting rid of BB. They should keep Semin. Semin is not helping things at all. But I think that is just one part of the bigger picture. And he may turn it on just for spite.

Agreed. He is awful. Caps certainly catch a break facing him rather than the red hot Mike Smith.

Something tells me if they had a Lt Sopel forcing one of their teammates to run Curahee again, there wouldn't be any teammates that volunteered to help that person finish. The idea that you're only as strong as weakest link seems foreign.

Extremely disheartened if Ovi's response to this tough treatment is to coward into a shell for much longer.

While I've wanted BB gone since post-Montreal, the players have so much culpability in this mess its not funny.
Then trade them all. Let's rebuild from scratch, as Vladiator said.

I don't think our players, from top to bottom, are inherently more asinine than those on other teams. I just don't buy it. Players not being angels is a reality in sports.

That's just it, we've played some pretty terrible stuff before and lost. Nothing is a given and I hate the thought of breaking my TV, but some Caps games have been close to that. What really bothered me about Saturday was how we were treated like rag dolls by a pit bull. Toronto had "the monster" in goal and won. That is pretty pathetic. Honestly, I see a lot of running around in the defensive zone again. I hope I am wrong. It is getting to the point with our defensive hockey they should play the Three Stooges theme on the loudspeakers. I really want a Caps win and as always will be cheering and cussing my team.

Its a leadership issue... it doesn't take wholesale changes. But it takes work and foresight to identify the issue and balls to act on it.

work
foresight
balls

Things not associated with Caps management.

If I read Vogs lines correct, Alzner is staying on RD and Orlov is playing LD... interesting.

Nothing like taking your best LD, making him a RD, pair him with a rookie playing on the opposite side of the ice from his norm...

only mason is worse than gustavsson, and thats negligible, and he made the caps look stoopid on saturday.

youve got a pretty good shot right now no matter who your goalie is.

I'm feeling Ovi remembers who he is tonight....2 goals for him. Caps win 4-2 as Chimer puts in one and Wideman blasts one in. Tonight will be a good night!

There it is....wow. If the Caps put up another tankjob tonight, I'm not sure how McPhee doesn't pull the trigger on something.

I wouldn't be able to stand a team that we have only beat one time in 1+ seasons, too. The Avs just suck.

Sigh, and here is the fundamental difference in opinion. When you have high character vets like Knuble and Chimera and Brouwer, what else is needed in terms of leadership? Arnott was a leader and couldn't save us from ourselves. At some point you have to look at the one leadership spot that hasn't changed in 4 years.
