Playing Ottawa, Winnipeg, Carolina and Columbus is always a good remedy.

The Pens lost to two of those teams, so apparently it's not that good of a remedy.

What did they give up 8 goals in that Winnipeg game! Their defense and goalie still is a question mark IMO, better but not proved anything

Flyers finally lose, 6-4 to Winnipeg. Rookie Matt Read continues to score, though. Two more tonight, giving him 8 on the season.

Jets really needs a better defense.. Bogosian looks good, Oduya looks alright and Flood look alright..

Super glad we beat Philly again though.

Byfuglien is great offensively, and that shot of his is so dangerous on the powerplay. But his defensive play is questionable.

I thought Bogosian was the only defender who looked good today for the Jets.

Byfuglien is way more than questionable defensively, he's worse than Ryan Whitney was during his last couple years in the 'Burgh. His main issue is constantly causing 2 on 1's and never getting back.

Oh cool bro, the night Nugent-Hopkins gets 5 assists and could affect the outcome of my fantasy week, he is on the bench

That Nugent-Hopkins is certainly slowing down as the season wears on. Only 5 assists last night. Edmonton continues to ruin him.

Semin is a healthy scratch for the Caps tonight...

Things just keep getting more interesting in Leonsis-land

I wouldn't be surprised.

Unless they got something back that could help their 2nd line, it would be a risky move for them to trade Semin. Truthfully firing Boudreau should be their first line of action.

What team is going to want him? He's making $6.7 million this year and is a UFA at season's end. That's a pretty hefty price tag for a rental player who seems to have character issues.

Prorated, the cap figure wont be that high. If he were on the block, there would definitely be a market for him. Definitely. If anything, the fact he's a free agent probably makes him more tradeable, not less.

I can't think of too many teams that would be interested in him and the few that may be interested aren't going to give the Caps the pieces in return that many once predicted he would bring in...

That team is toxic...I don't care if they go on a 10 game winning streak tomorrow, my opinion remains the same. When the foundation of a house isn't stable, it doesn't matter how nice the doors and windows are...it's going to collapse. A guy like Brooks Laich or Knuble should be wearing the "C"...as we found out at times during Jagr's tenure as captain, when you give the "C" to petulant child, you get a team that is sometime fighting within itself more than it is fighting towards a common goal. It's a cliche to blame Ovechkin, but I'd be what little I own on him and his inflated sense of entitlement being the root of the Caps ailments.

True, but other teams would lose the fun out of them having such an inept coach. I think that if they're were they are in February and near the deadline, then Semin will be traded and Boudreau could lose his job. I'd love to see Washington to miss out on the play-offs as it'd be interesting to see what the fans would do and if Ovechkin would be still interested in the team. I say that like I expect him to leave but I don't, just saying it because sometimes, when players are at teams that don't do well for the year they ask to leave. Not expecting it in this case mind.
