Habs can't win a puck battle because they're never the first one to the puck.

Pleks was disgusting tonight.

Don't mind them. Actually they are insulting their team by doing it 'cause everytime an opponent fell down, he dives or embellish. Which means that this Bruins team is made out of sissies that aren't strong enough to actually be the reason why players fell down. Peverley's crosscheck was as obvious as anything.

I don't know if the bruins made 4 consecutive passes on a rush/possession. Thomas stole us that game. Nerve racking as hell. Great game played by the Habs, thems the breaks some times.

Yeah, didn't like how Max Pac looked tonight. It seems he wanted to be invisible. A powerforward should play like a powerforward -- see Erik Cole, not Cammy.

I hate that the habs managed a few wins in a row because it means Martin probably gets to keep his job all season. If we would have lost 3 more games it was pretty much a sure thing that Martin was gone and we might have a coach whose style better fits the habs by now. A coach who's willing to play the best players and who'e more patient with the young guys.

Gomez played a good game but him and Eller should not be on the same line. It will never work. Eller needs a scorer and Gomez... eh is not.

With all that said. Price has allowed just 1 goal in his last 3.

As far as injury plagued team the Habs are. Yes. Totally. LIKE I SAID ON MY POST, BUT PLEASE DISREGARD THAT PART. Might not make sense after what you replied.

As far as I'm concerned though, for quite a long time, Habs have not proven to be an injury free team.
They beat up on quite a few very weak teams in that time span. But when we disregard this and that, like their 'weak first month', it's easy to make arguments for them.

On a plus note;

Cole and DD were ****ing incredible. If Pacioretty had of had a good game tonight, we'd have won EASILY. They were unreal and Pacioretty messed up quite a bit.

St-Denis played fine again, liked his game. Emelin was very physical (a couple bad blunders, but I'll let them slide because he brought it). Plekanec played hard. Gomez was above average (for him). Gorges was, as always, incredible. Weber needs a new stick. Eller looked good except he can't score. Cammalleri was pretty meh. Everyone else played about as good as I expect from them.

Emelin was great, some Bruin players were slowing down when they saw him coming for a hit. He was in their heads

You prove it by the record they have and the streak they are in. They prove it by maybe not having their best game of this streak and yet ended up winning. They are proving for a month now based on the fact that sometimes they score a whole lot of goals and sometimes play a good defensive system. We had our chances, but Boston was able to play a tight system.

But i know, it's just luck. Boston are lucky, we are not.

Notice how every game the Habs lose like this it's about perimeter shots. Notice how one look at a shot chart always dispels that notion.

And Eller is a mother****ing center. He's already as snakebit as you can get. Put him with gomez and he doesn't even have the chance to be that.

Very true. He's been way more frustrating to watch than Gomez in the last few games.

I have no complaints about tonight. After a dismal start to the season I'm really encouraged with the way this team is playing lately. With an extremely limited defensive group we've kept the shots against way down and controlled most of the play. As long as this team can stay within striking distance of a playoff spot I can see a quick rise in the standings once Kostitsyn and Markov return.

We need more Coles. Even Pacioretty looked scared. Gionta and Cammalleri...no comment.

Winning a game where you're dominated doesn't prove you're better.

Having a better record doesn't actually prove you're better. Until that myth is dispelled (and really it should be obvious) we're going to have trouble doing real hockey analysis.

Tonight that was pretty much it. Montreal and Boston are very close in ability but both have had very unlucky starts to their seasons. Both are much better than either the Sabres or the Leafs.
