Pretty nice effort by us, could have gone either way ; wouldn't say we dominated though

And what can you say about coaching personnal decisions : Cole is on fire ? let's cut his PP time (again) ! Gomez is getting zero production for a full calnedar year? let's play him 18 mins including every key offensive situation ! Eller looks great at center ? let's bump him to the wing til he's ice cold and lost...

But no worries, coach has new research on which all his coo-coo decisions are based on...

Silver lining....

Bruins are the hottest team in the league and have been blowing out their opponents. We outplayed them and managed to keep them to 1 goal. Yea, it sucks, but the team played well all things considered. We're missing 4 starting Dmen and a top 6 winger who can actually score.

it's ****ing frustrating because there is nothing that 'elite' teams like philly, ranger or boston have on us. nothing. if the imbeciles running and coaching this team made the necessary tweaks we might actually become elite..
obviously no markov and kos hurts

Would you really say that this game was better (from a pure hockey standpoint) than the Pens-Isles game?

martin is good but there is so much drawbacks

the team looks like there is somthing like the system and they use it but martin makes mistakes that cost us

he looks way out of date with the game now and doesn't use all the tools he has

he hungs onto past results way too much

We just need to hang around until we get healthier. Imagine adding AK and Markov!

PP suddenly becomes much better and our secondary scoring returns! Right now the Eller-Gomez-Moen line has no finisher so while they do create scoring chances, they don't produce. Our 4th line is just horrible. Have we gotten any goal from our 4th line this year?

Also Emelin is pretty much earning himself a spot in the lineup over Diaz imo. Diaz becomes redundant when we have guys like Markov, Weber, Subban and Spacek. Emelin brings a dimension our defence lacks.

Rangers are far from elite. I'll give you Boston and Philly...and both those teams have quite a bit on the Habs and that's

A) Coaching
B) Size/toughness
C) Good centermen (The only good centerman we have is Pleks and he's more like a 2nd line centerman)
D) SKILL, FINISH

Again, Habs are a few players away from being elite. I don't care what anyone says. Need to get bigger/thougher.

Bruins coach postgame was very unhappy with the team's effort tonight, poor puck management, turnovers, NO LEGS and losing most battles in the corners. The Bruins were very mediocre tonight and Thomas stole a win.

Your team worked hard all night and should have won. Boston was mediocre and still won, odd game.

I'm not even gonna crap on the Habs tonight.. They played a very good game but they didn't get one bounce go their way at all offensively and Thomas won the game for the Bruins..

Solid effort but an ineffective PP and a lack of finish let them down again tonight.. Sad thing is I have a feeling we'll be seeing this happen way too often this season with this team if Markov can't help fix the PP when/if he returns..

Pleks Point 24/7.

Go Martin Go!!!
Go Pleks Point Go!!!

Great job of coaching by Martin for keeping Pleks Point 24/7. We will never win a Cup if Pleks Point is taken away.

Go Habs Go!!!

Must be fun to crap on your team on Win #9 in a row. Julien just knows what to do to get that thing going. They'll be much better next game.

Though, I felt that while being dominated, they didn't play that bad of a road game. We had good chances, but I still felt that they were pretty tight in tons of occasions defensively.

Agree with the first part. Mostly. We obviously can beat any of those teams, though the Pens and Hawks would be tougher.

But I don't see how our faults lie with the coaching staff. The only thing keeping us below elite status is our chronic problem scoring goals, which is a characteristic of our roster. No magic solution to that, other than perhaps a stronger PP once our defense is whole.

This looked like a playoff game with tight checking and good defence. The Bruins did a good job of protecting the front of their net and not allowing the Habs to get many effective shots from in close.

I think we were really missing AK tonight, Eller needs him back badly and reunite them with Travis Moen.

A good effort against a good team, and bravo to our young d men for their effort. The Habs deserved better tonight but thats the way it goes sometimes.

Only negative for me tonight was the play of Cammalleri, he is not looking too impressive, not giving enough effort without the puck, if he is not scoring he aint doing much.

Happens to the Habs all the time this year. But then again that was how they won most of their games in 09-10.

It will never stop with Plekanec on the point, Gomez getting 18 mins a game, and Darche consistently on the PP.....and Weber over Subban on the 1st PP wave, WTF is that???? lmao....Watching Darche out there makes me miss Turner Stevenson.

Keep in mind Boston was held to one PP goal by a bunch of minor league defensemen. It bodes well for when we're healthier.
