No mention of his horrific turnover that gave Florida a point blank chance in the 1st?

On a per game basis (without worrying about folks that have missed a few games), Carle is leading NHL D in turnover rate.

I am sure the Carle lovers are going to blame Pronger, Mez ect for his turnovers.

So Carle gives away the puck constantly, but look at the others on the giveaway list. Right behind is Eric Johnson and Jay Bouwmeester. Do you think they are taking the same kind of heat Carle does on here? No, plus Carle has more goals than those other two combined.

Edit: give the guy a break he is just trying to make things happen and he does.

What rock have you been living under? Jay Bouwmeester (whose game went to **** after he signed that deal) has been heavily criticized for his play in Calgary. Johnson was friggin traded because St Louis got tired of his struggles...

If MAB plays like that, plus 1 - maybe we can move Carle when Pronger gets back - he only logged minutes b/c Pronger and Coburn weren't there tonight.

you want to trade Carle because you think Bourdon can replace him?

I'm not a Carle fan, but.....seriously?

If the Flyers thought that was the real Marc-Andre Bourdon, they wouldn't have tried to force themselves to platoon Lilja and Walker, with Bartulis and Gustafsson in front of him. Not to mention that Bourdon isn't even close to being the same type of defenseman that Carle is, you wouldn't really even be replacing Carle.

Marshall (assuming he is behind Bourdon on the depth chart) only got a shot because the Flyers made a horrible decision in picking Walker over Bartulis (making over $1M less on the cap), and because Walker was so bad, now do not have either one available to them.

Hopefully he runs with it and shows something though. The Flyers have been so lucky with defensemen considering how horribly they've mismanaged the depth.

I think that the Flyers bringing up Bourdon and Walker was a sign that maybe its the last we have seen of Matt Walker(well we can only hope). Putting Walker on recall waivers would be a worse move then the Randy Jones dibacle.

I think this thread needs a bump, I know how hard it can be to see the appreciation thread ahead of this one.

How long before we hear some Advanced stats.....or some historical stats......or, something that will prove, without a shadow of a doubt, that Matt Carle is a bum. Can't play without Pronger; Isn't worth the money; Is another reason Homer is a moron...

Carle is a very good defenceman in the NHL. We are lucky to have him. If we wanted to get rid of him, teams would gladly take him......and our team would be worse as a result. Like they say....Haters gonna hate.

I have mixed feelings about Carle. It seems like 95% of the time, he'll make the right play, but that other 5%, he doesn't just make a little error, but he'll make some mind-blowing, WTF are you doing play. For the right price, I'd bring him back next year, but I think some team will overpay for him in FA.
