Kid just couldn't put it together. I bet he eventually ends up overseas.

I'm guessing McGrattan and Geoffrion are now rotating scratches, which is a shame...Geoffrion should have been in Milwaukee from the start of the season.

But yeah...everyone knew Bergfors was either Kostitsyn 2.0 or Svatos 2.0. Simply not a Trotz player.

Bam. I've watched him for a few seasons now, and the one thing he can't shake is how soft he is. I think he's literally scared to get into the corners first. He'll "ole" someone and then start digging as apposed to getting there first and taking a check.

well, dreger just tweeted that the coyotes and turris have reportedly finally reached a deal, but that the most likely scenario is sign-and-trade... *tinfoil hat*

Waived before xmas! Winner winner chicken dinner! lol

There are other players that deserve the icetime. Good luck Bergy.

Edit:

I hope this means Chris Mueller will get a call-up.

Was going to happen sooner or sooner. But with 6 games in 10 days including two sets of B2B's and 3 of those games on another Western Canada swing, I would have been inclined to keep him around for depth the next week and a half. With BG measuring for drapes in Trot'z Doghouse, that doesn't leave any options for Trotz or really give any cushion for injuries/illness this next 10 days. Perhaps the Preds are willing to call someone up, but they tend to roll the dice on a razor thin bench.

Was Bergfors on a two way deal? If he isnt claimed i wonder of he will report to Milwaukee?? not that he'd likely surviuve reentry waivers if we called him back..

plus I dont see Bam Bam in the doghouse... he is putting forth the effort and that counts a lot to trotz... if he just isnt ready they may well send him down and call up someone else like mueller to be a frequent scratch

Can't see the Preds paying him an NHL salary to play in MIL.

As far as BG, he's not in the doghouse yet, that's why i said he was "measuring for drapes" since Trotz kind of gave him a warning shot this week.

re-reading this says it was just a one year deal for 575k.

mods could prob merge the two threads

He's on a one way deal. I doubt he gets claimed, so welcome to Milwaukee ...

I'd rather just outright release him. I hope someone claims him.

There's no such thing as an outright release. We could buy him out.

We can't buy him out now either. Either he gets claimed or we pay him his full NHL salary to play for the Ads. The only way we get off the hook for his salary is if he gets loaned to a Euro club.

There are limited times when players can be bought out ... this isn't one of them.

He's UFA at season end, no point in a buyout.

Bergfors simply didn't work out. Glad to see the Preds move on now, rather than let him linger around for months.

Expect Kyle Wilson or Chris Mueller to be recalled if needed at F. Would actually like to recall one of them and send down Geoffrion.

I'm also thinking Teemu Laakso has to be on thin ice. Could see Roman Josi recalled soon...
