It must feel good for the Islanders to have made the history books last night though, even if it was merely as the team that Sid beat. Not like they've done anything previously in their franchise history.
That said, beat these sorry *****. Time for a rebound game after a couple of more or less sloppy games. Hope Bourdon has another solid game, that JvR continues to skate and drive to the net, like he did against Carolina, and that Bričre has a strong game.
Also, if we could play a game without taking more than, say four penalties, that would be great.
That quote by Gerry Hart after game seven in 1975 tells you all you need to know about what Bobby Clarke brings to the table. One of the best games I ever saw Joe Watson play. The Hawk with two goals also. Next on the agenda was the French Connection and the rest is how you say....history

The Flyers have to start winning these games against poor opponents. I mean, they have had one of the easiest schedules to start a season in recent memory. Once they start playing Pittsburgh, NYR, Boston, Caps on a regular basis, even great efforts might not be enough to win.
i'm with everyone here, what better team to right the ship against than a struggling new york islanders? how about we get coots off that 4th line so we can get him producing again? seriously i'd hate t have spent the money on a coots winter classic jersey and he winds up like another nodl. lavy is going to stunt his growth like a chain smoking mommy in her third trimester. lets go flyers! flyers 5 islanders 1.
