Your missing the point WI. That still doesn't clear up 6 Mill in Cap space, were full up on it.

Columbus wouldn't be able to go with full future assets, people. They suck really bad right now, and their attendance was bad last time I checked.

Find a taker for Gomez or bury him.

On top of needing to send alot of salary back, people overpay badly for Carter... he's good yeah, but damn I prefer to keep Desharnais than do what's proposed for him, Beaulieu has the potential to be great, no way do I want him gone.

Sure, Carter is a very good player, but do we need a non-dedicated party dude? A few years ago I catched some Flyers game in Tampa & Sunrise, in the warm up, I recall seeing him standing by the board, seeking the hot chicks in the assistance. Maybe he grew up, but not sure he's the perfect fit for a city like Mtl.

Of course, if somehow we could fetch him for cheap I'd do it, but if we are to overpay with nice prospects, I'd target someone else instead.

IMO acquiring Jeff Carter would be a disaster.

I agree. Allways thought he was over rated and not that of a good player. I think he scored a lot of goals because of the Flyers style of play, which is miles away from ours. And because of all the good palyers surrounding him (briere, richards, etc.)

Guys. We're not getting Carter. They gave up Voracek and Coutourier.

Sure, he's scored one goal. But he ain't gonna be gcoming here.

Darren Dreger from TSN is reporting that Kyle Turris will sign a two year deal with phoenix. Of course few people on the planet believe he will ever play for the Yotes again.....and now we wait to see the rumors begin as to where he could be headed.

I have heard mentions of NJ, Montreal, Washington and Toronto.

I'm not terribly interested in turris, unless it involves dumping gomez.

Tinordi and Beaulieu are a future top four pairing for Montreal, they should not be thinking about moving them, In two to three years if they develop as projected these guys will start for Montreal and round out the top 6.

Markov
Subban
Emelin
Gorges
Tinordi
Beaulieu
Weber

As the top 7 in two years.....

My Pairings would be:

Gorges Markov
Subban Emelin
Tinordi Beaulieu
Weber

No way, Keep the first, Turris hasn't done anything to merit a first.

Jesus! Markov plays left. Subban plays right. Emelin looks best on the left. Beaulieu plays left and finally I feel Weber will be traded by then.

He was a #3 overall pick and has #1 center upside, I'd trade our 1st for him in a heartbeat.

By the time Tinordi and Beaulieu are full time NHLers a lot could have happened. I like Weber's game and progression this year. He's been a very underrated contributor so far.

Where your drafted means ****all, I think we've proven that with Fischer, Pouliot, etc...

He could be first overall, He still hasn't proven anything to deserve a 1st round pick.

His upside I can't say I see him as a 1st line potential player, maybe a solid 2A center, but even so its speculative and again I haven't seen anything from him that is worthy of a 1st.

Beyond being a RH shot, what does he bring to the table that a guy like say Eller doesn't?

Not being an arse here, just truly curious

Yeah Gomez and our 1st for Turris is a no brainer...losing the Gomez contract is huge value in and of itself.
