Maybe if Milbury was GM...but I don't see Snow dumping one of his best young players for a guy that's a UFA after the season.
Carter is a nice player but I think that there are better option if we where to trade Cammalleri.

Sorry for being a smart ass, but I think you mean butting heads. Budding heads is like sprouting heads, as it growing new heads, so that they become monsters. It was an image that made me laugh.
Don't know if I want Semin on my team. Wrong work ethic. Gomez may be sucking, but I think he has the right work ethic, and a work ethic is infectious.
Except that Semin's contract ends this year, so it's hardly an untradeable contract whereas Gomez has 2 more years with a higher cap hit. Caps are pretty solid down the middle too. I don't see them as a team that needs a centre especially one that's not performing.

That's the whole point. Both teams exchange each others problems in the hope that the new environment ignites the acquired player.
Semin walks away at season end, Caps save lots of money if he doesn't come back, they don't want Gomez for next year, some of you need to stop Gomez will be in Montreal for the next 2 seasons or Hamilton, no where else

Hmm, contract length. Was under the impression that Semin had a long contract and I didn't check.

He's a good player, but I find him massively overrated. On defense he is terrible at even strength, too lackadaysical and gambles wayyy too much. I think he can be more useful up front but I'm not sure his overall production matches his price tag.

He has a 1 year 6.7 mil deal...hardly a huge contract...unless you're trying to trade him to a cap team. Right now his remaining cap hit is about 5-5.2 mil.

If you love Big Buff then the Habs should try Jarrod Rabey from St. Cloud Univ. NCAA, he's a defenceman with big body needs work on his skating but similar to Big Buff,late round choice.

Bufyglien never had an issue with his skating, he moves great for a guy his size, he's just not very good defensively and he takes a lot of shifts off.
