Got a feeling that everyone is going to bash me but we need to fire torts. Even during the streak, we would get out shot, and take atleast 10 minutes to get our first ****ing shot. Were not going to win many games when we shoot 20 shots a game. During that streak we had easy games, we will not survive against top teams. we need a offensive coach. I used to love torts but its every single game where we get out shot.
Boyle was not that bad tonight. When you factor out PK time he was on the ice less than 10 min. One of his more physical games of the year.
Should he have been out there with less than two mim? No IMO but saying he played bad is just finding a scapegoat.

I'm still convinced the Rangers just play a constipated game quite often. Before anybody accuses me of 'panicking' (believe me, if Rangers losses caused me to panic, I'd have been dead from cardiac arrest many years ago) let me just say that they don't seem to let loose.
What is it that takes obviously talented players and slows them down and nullifies their potency? They have the talent, but somehow just don't seem to play naturally. I don't know, maybe I make no sense, but it's frustrating seeing what looks like half-speed so much.
man cally and dubi had their head in the clouds this game. at least you saw some frustration from gabby. stepan had a nice game i thought. lundqvist was great.
Gaborik HAS to be played with Richards. We did not sign Richards to a cap hit near $7 million and pay him $12 MILLION this year to (a) play with Dubinsky (who can't score a goal) and (b) play with Boyle / Prust / Fedotenko.
13 points in 18 games won't cut it. We need to get Richards going and it won't be with the likes of those players. He needs talent who can finish and create scoring chances, and those players don't make the cut.
I refuse to see Richards have his worst year since the lock out because Tortorella is hell bent on playing him with grinders. It's nauseating.

Torts has been preaching shoot the puck, so how is it on him?
What I will blame him for is not holding players accountable, some guys need to spend a game in the press box...needs to be consequences for failure to execute the game plan.

I dont think people see the loss as Boyle's fault, this was a uuuh.. "collective collaps".. or rather.. they really never showed up, so they couldnt really collapse
There were a very few glipses here and there, and someone obviously lit a bonfire under their behinds at 3 minutes left or something.. but other than that, it was a pretty bleak showing.
Gaborik was shooting the puck a lot during our winning streak, 5, 6, 7 shots a night, but the last 2 games he has had 3 shots a piece. Shoot the puck, Gabby!
