I actually don't expect their streak to be intact by that time.

At that they definitely will have not won 10 in a row.

Sorry your second sentence makes no sense.

'Boston etc Won 10'

Who cares about "at that time"? They have won 10 in a row NOW and they only play 2 more before playing us. Not to mention being 2nd in the NHL in Goals Scored per game.

Reimer comes back from being run into, and he plays against Boston?

As I said in the Reimer injury thread.

I don't see any reason to rush Reimer back for the Boston game. Boston is hot right now and a very physical team. That means whichever goalie faces them will see a ton of quality shots. And due to their physical nature, runs the risk of getting bumped.

Reimer's gonna need a couple of easier starts before he can get his timing, confidence and mojo back. Perhaps ease him back into it by playing a few AHL games, then a couple of the Leafs easier opponents? Confidence is a key factor in goaltending, as we've seen from Gus lately. Throwing Reimer out there against Boston after this much time away is just asking for trouble.

Reimer will have to start some time. Also our schedule doesn't get easier after the B's.

Ideally like him to get a game in before next week's game against Boston, would also like Colborne to play against the B's. Hopefully we can get the lead in that game and make it easier for ourselves, should be a good one. We have to play with more desperation, and after being blown out twice, show some pride in the Maple Leaf. One thing is a must, put Gunnar and Dion on Seguin. Wilson better get his match ups, the guy has been outcoached by Julien twice this year already. Chara's on Kessel every time he sneezes.

One game, they were pissed and took it out on a team that didn't work in the first.
Game 2: The entire Leafs team didn't work at all.

They're playing the best they have all season, but it doesn't mean they can't be defeated. Buffalo took them off their game a bit, by being tougher. It seems to be a
good strategy, along with speed.

I bet his first game back will be at home and if practice goes well in Dallas, he could be back as early as the Bruins game next week.

IF Gus and Scrivens are still playing decent then let him take an extra week or two even. It is better to make sure he is all healed then to go in and have him nervous about being injured again.

Great sign. James reimer takes home net for this morning's skate. Looks very close to returning to active duty.

He took home the net? You'd think the money these guys make he could afford to buy one.

Colton Orr, Rosehill, Schenn, Phaneuf, Komisarek (when he comes back), Franson

We have some solid defensive guys who'll make people eat it if they try to run him. I'm not worried.

There isn't a whole lot they can do.

They can dress one tough guy like Rosehill/Orr as a deterrent, but if that enforcer's not on the ice when Reimer gets bumped, there's not much more to it.

If they go with a team mentality of making each and every player that bumps the goalie pay, they'll be on the PK a lot. It could work at stopping it, but more likely, teams will bump the goalie more, to provoke a reaction and go on the PP.

It comes down to doing what you always do. Light bumps should be punished with some pushing and shoving, but nothing that could garner a penalty, and anything Lucic-like, someone on the ice at the time needs to drop the gloves and pound away. Instigator be damned.
