No, I won't. I'll say that he wouldn't have been equally hard on LaBarbera.

This game was very boring and uninteresting until the final two minutes with Roenick with a big goal (yes! finally) and Frolov with the rare emptynetter (is that the first for the Kings this season?).

I was thinking the same thing. The Kings usually win by so many goals that the opposition does not pull the goalie. If they do the Kings are usually content to just get the puck out of the zone.

Kings did not play their best hockey, but still came out with 2 points. Demitra is truly amazing....and Frolov with another solid night (1g 2a). And yes, Osprey, I think that's the first empty netter for the Kings this season, at least to my knowledge.

But bottom line, they are only 1 pt behind the Red Wings for first!!
Go Kings!!!!

Correction frolov had 4 points

and yah, the game was extrememly frustrating to watch but at least had a few moments. Good to see JR get a goal, nice to see corvo get 2! (which im sure very few people will even bring up because, we hate corvo wah wah wah) Glad we made it out with any points let alone the win to be honest. It was looking pretty grim for most of the game.

That's because they're on their heels so much in their own zone in the final minute that, when they do get it out of the zone, they're too gassed to go on a rush and need to change lines. It's nice, for once, to end a close game without that heart-stopping kind of play.

Just got home. Doesn't sound like our best game, I had to re-read the threads - Corvo with 2 goals? Who'd have thought such a thing! If you thought you felt an earthquake, that was me hitting the floor! God, I love Demitra, I'm sooo glad he's a King.

I didn't see or listen to the game tonight, but I noticed on NHL.com they list the 3 stars for the game. My question is what did Dean McAmmond do that earned him 1st star nod? I realize the St. Louis media did the picking so I guess they can be accused of being homers but still.

oh god i wish i could see the kings play more regularly, oh well can't wait to see the kings live in person in ottawa only 10 days away and i can't wait to bust out the Frolov jersey and cheer for the kings in person

does anyone have a cool name for the frolov, conroy, demitra line by the way?

p.s. i know everyone talks bad about corvo, but what's the deal with the awesome +/- rating?

People love to hate Corvo, but he was +3 tonight and had 6 shots on goal.

The Kings-Ottawa game should be an awesome game. Two high scoring teams that haven't lost more than 1 game in a row.

Kings got away with one tonite... I stated earlier the Kings prowess when they only have to kill 7 or fewer penalties... They had to kill 9 tonite, including a 2 man and not including a pulled goalie situation (so 10 man advantages against).

For the first time all year, the Kings won a game killing more than 7 penalties... they take 9 penalties in their next game and I predict a drubbing... they need to play smarter. A better team would have beaten them tonite for sure.

regardless... Demitra has been outstanding (that whole line was a +9 with 9 points)

My suggestion for the frolov-conroy-demtra line is:

Lov Condem. Please use it

LOL....McAmmond got first star? Wow. On a night where we had two guys record 4 point games. Brilliant.

Demitra was the first star of the game, no doubt.

when you play a team like the Blues, its bound to be a boring game....either you blow them out like the Blue Jackets a week ago, or the team seems to play half-heartedly for the majority of the game...the important thing is that we got the 2 pts....Unlike Det, who basically wasted these points agasnt the STL

also..who expected the Frolov-Conroy-Demitra line to be this good? I expected it to be good, but not this good!

I didn't, but I expected Frolov to finish in the top 10 in scoring. looks like he and Demitra have a shot at the top 10!
