Hagelin and Mitchell up

awwww yea, Deveaux likely suspended is a blessing

We get to see what Hagelin can do and I believe this is Mitchels first chance as a Ranger as well

so EC sits?

Pretty shocked, how did they call up 2 players and not one of them being Zucc?

Unless they called up Carl for his "Cup of tea" as they put it, so he can get a reality check on how good the next level is and can go back to the AHL and push himself harder (not that he's playing bad or anything though).

But yea, EC has been brutal. He needs to be waived.

Yeah not sure why Zuccarello wasn't called up here. I'd imagine Deveaux is gone and hopefully Christensen.

I think it's inevitable our buddy Zuke is traded at some pt.

I believe Torts indicated he's not touching the Anisimov, Stepan, Gaborik line so the others should be interesting.

Maybe for the heck of it Hagelin, Richards, Callahan.....
..Dubinsky, Boyle, Fedotenko..........Avery, Mitchell, Prust

Hmmm...
I feel like last game was his last look at Christensen.
He gave Christensen PP time, and decent minutes. He flat out stunk.

I think we may be seeing the demise of Christensen.

I'm sure Sather has been saying he's available to many teams. Also Zuccarello but he won't move them for nothing

I'd move Christensen for nothing.
Zuccarello hasn't gotten a fair shake.

Mitchell instead of MZA? We need offense, not grinders.

Hagelin should be seeing PK time. Wouldn't be surprised to see him get Prust-like ice time.

it seems as though Torts is going to keep throwing Boyle and Feds out on the 3rd line.

Will be interesting to see the combos.

They've earned it. I really like this move.

Anisimov - Stepan - Gaborik
Dubinsky - Richards - Callahan
Hagelin - Boyle - Fedotenko
Avery - Mitchell - Prust

Mitchell likely up because Christensen is probably gone.

If so Hallelujah.

When Wolski gets back just send Mitchell packing.

I like MZA but maybe that "threat" to go back to Europe if he didn't get called up was heard by management and he's being punished.

Glad for Hagelin, enjoy the experience even if it's only for 5 minutes tomorrow. Mitchell looked good in camp, maybe he can help on the faceoffs.

I don't waive EC. He's too valuable as a shootout guy and his random 2-3 hot streak per year. He's fine as a 13th forward for the time being and he's exactly the kind of gut you keep around who could turn into John Druce in a playoff series.

I can see it now, Hagelin will be flying in the neutral zone with the puck looking to make a pass over, only for boyle to still be in our zone trying to catch up

Thankfully the Rangers is a professional organization and not a fan team message board with immature and childish comments being made out of "rumors".

Management definitely does not put 2 cents into those "rumors".

Like I said, Hagelin was called up for his cup of tea, they brought him up so he knows what to expect at the NHL level. The Rangers have been doing this for the past 5 years with their top prospects who are not exactly ready for a full time slot (of course these players can still suprise us and force management to keep them up)

Mictchell was brought in to play Deveaux's 6 minutes of ice time.
