Happy the Jones experiment is over. Waste of a roster spot.

He'll be good in the AHL I think. I don't see how his game translates to the NHL. If you're not going to play like you did in the playoffs every shift you get, there's something wrong. How'd he regress so quickly? He came into camp in better shape and stronger too. Disappointing.

Does he think he'll have more of an opportunity somewhere else? He could make a career in the AHL.

I'm disappointed Jones wasn't able to work out, really thought after last year he would establish himself as an NHL regular. Glad to see Tyrell up though, didn't think he'd be in Norfolk long.

Let's hope he does well with us. Put DNA back together?

I think Jones is done in North America. He could make a career in the AHL but NHL teams are stocked with grinders like him they can store in their affiliates. My guess is he looks for work overseas

I would like to see what Connolly and Tyrell could do together. They both had great chemistry back in Prince George, but putting back the DNA line would be cool too.

Ahh that could be something to watch for. Didn't realize they played at PG at the same time. I always think Tyrell is a lot older than he really is.

Yep, they both had a big year in 08-09 too. Connolly became the first 16 year old to score 30 goals in the WHL since Patrick Marleau and Tyrell made Canada's WJC team and was on their 1st line before he injuried himself.

Jones cleared waivers. Interesting timing for a waive though, now that I think about it. I imagine most NHL front offices are sort of 'off' today.

Nashville has put Niclas Bergfors on $125 waivers, and the Isles waived Blake Comeau today. Moar Islanders? He's gotten absolutely nothing with NY this season, after going 24+22 last year, so...30 goals with us?

He's making $2.5m this year, and is RFA July 1. The issue I see is that he's making more than Teddy Purcell, and adding another ~$2.5m player makes the cap space much tighter, and potentially limits us in what we can do on the back end.

Comeau's also got the same agent as the recently signed Kyle Turris; Kurt Overhardt of KO Sports.

Interesting, but I think we're going to let him pass.

DNA Line ??

Dana - Nate - ?????

I'm a big Tyrell fan and didn't understand him being sent to the AHL.

Maybe it'll kick start some offense for him.

Who is also Mike Smith's agent.
