But, but, but that would mean giving guys like Cole and Pacioretty more minutes. Can't have that...

Because he wouldn't be better than a Defensman playing forward. Got to love Montreal.

Avtsyn is barely staying in the lineup in the AHL! If you'd mentioned Palushaj, Blunden, Willsie...

Someone forgot to tell him its a holiday. Frankly, the schedule this year has been god awful, what with all these six game layoffs but this certainly is the worst. Fortunately, I'm home to catch the game.

A little OT but here goes, where was section 46 in the Forum? Old seating charts of the Reds start with section 100 and go to 223. I'm staring at some old stubs with sections 9, 24 and my prized 87' game 6 section 46 stubs. I was 12, I remember them being Reds but where exactly, that's a little foggy. Any help or info would be appreciated. Good Luck today.

It's one of the worst schedules for every team. It's not even an olympic year that's what I dont get.

Wrong. He's easily staying in the lineup in the AHL.

1) Year one, new to AHL/NHL ice, played with an injury most of the year and was played sparingly on the 4th line. Hard to produce with two wingers who aren't even projected to ever be more than 3rd or 4th line AHL players.

2) Year two, had a rough start but started producing as of late. Is no longer being held back by an injury and is still getting used to north american ice being that he didn't really have a legitimate first season.

The first season is a wash that might as well be ignored, it was a hiccup/stunt in his development due to his wrist problem and limited ice time.

This year as he progresses and gets better ice time, better players on his line, we will then see what he is truly capable of.

The statement in your post is 100% false.

Bringing up Willsie is no better than the people who say "why not Henry" and QQ every time we bring up another D who isn't a career AHLer.

Come on man, his "limited ice time" in the AHL is a definite indication that he's not close to the NHL. Yeah, maybe he'll progress and get better ice time in the AHL, where he hopefully catches up. Until then, keep his name out of the conversation for Habs call-ups.

To take that analogy a step farther - I'd rather see Henry play a game for the Habs than Stejskal, even though Stejskal is a better long term prospect. Henry is just a better player right now, just as Willsie is better than Avtsyn right now.

Damn! I'm not sure if I should follow the box score or wait and watch the game later when I get home hoping nobody will tell me the result of the game.
