Pretty bad first period. Not much urgency in the game so far. Sloppy passing in general, Carle and Simmonds some of the main culprits. Two bad penalties taken as well.

On the positive note, Bourdon is having another solid game so far. Bobrovsky has done his bit, not much he could do on the goal. Read and Hartnell continue to play well.

No excuse for failing to clear on several different occcasions.

This team really seems to be headed in the wrong direction the last 6 games or so. Hartnell, except for that boneheaded penalty in OT against ny, has played very well though. We need better wing options than what we have. Voracek is inconsistent and can't seem to hold onto the puck along the boards and Simmonds has been virtually ineffective for the past 10 games.

I think we will see moves made by the deadline for a bottom 6 face off specialist, and perhaps even a big top 6 winger or a top 4 defenseman.

I don't care how many Injuries you have, you're not going to win many games if your players cannot adapt and create scoring chances in not so ideal situations. Just look at the penguins.
