Neuvy's numbers last year were a product of the defensive system/style they were playing. He is not a starting NHL goaltender.

lets be fair. neuvirth is a young goaltender. this is the first time in his career that when healthy he has not been the primary goaltender. he is used to playing at least twice a week. playing twice a month is very difficult. its not a surprise to me that his best game of the season was his first game.

its a shame i didnt make it on to ask when mojo was going to stop playing like **** before he made that brutal turnover. now saying it would be judged as overreacting, though hes being playing like trash for what seems like weeks now.
hes not the problem tho. the caps dont stand a chance when the opposing goalie is THAT much better than their own. the good news is that shouldnt be the case with vokoun very often at all.

Ovechkin seems to be protecting the puck with his body better this game which I think is definitely part of the problem
Edit Orlovs wide open and Carlson doesn't move it to him? nice read
Second Edit Definitely open that time

And we amaee what I've said all along. Our zone exit plan pretty much depends on one guy stick handling his way through the forecheckers. Where was the support? MJ had no clue where to go with the puck. Two wins doesn't change than reality that will bite us in the playoffs against hustling forechecking teams.
Finally a non- 5 on 3 PP goal. Thank God.
