I can see these two teams pulling the trigger on a deal in the coming days, perhaps something along these lines.

To Anahiem = Radek Dvorak, Jani Rita and Cory Cross

To Edmonton = Petr Sykora and Ruslan Salei/Vitali Vishnevski

Sound fair?

Any chance we could pull a deal of this nature off...

To Edmonton: Joffrey Lupul, Petr Sykora and Ruslan Salei/Vitali Vishnevski

To Anahiem: Mike Peca, Radek Dvorak and Steve Staios

Ducks don't really have any need for a Rita or a Cross. Sykora for Dvorak straight up makes more sense.

That second proposal is terrible for Anaheim. If you want Lupul you will have to part with a Hemsky or a Schremp +.

Well that will not happen as you are overvaluing Lupul,

he is a big part of the future of Anaheim.

He is a 21 year old pure sniper who should be a 30 goal scorer through out his career.

Why should Anaheim trade him for anything other than a young talent in return???

You have to give to get. If Edmonton really wanted Lupul they would have to give up a young talent in return. That's the way things work. You can't offer up players in their 30s and get a 21 year old young star in return.

Are the Oilers any better with Sykora in their lineup as opposed to Dvorak?

Ducks don't need Peca as they now have Peca junior .. Marchant 8)

Anyways, Short Answer, Yes he definally can help.

Fast, and can shoot the puck well, has proven he's a 30 goal man, and though his play has suffered in anahiem's system (for whatever reason) I wouldn't mind seeing him here. I like Dvo ... he's fast and is and good defensively, but lacks the scoring that ability .....so you want to swap for Dvo? ... I'd say done.

..... that said. Burke's a smart man and I doubt would want to deal him to a team that he'll see as much as edmonton.....

I think they would be. I've been saying the Oilers should trade Dvorak for Sykora too and it's good to see others think the same way. Will Lowe and Burke?

I think Sykora to Edmonton is very realistic.

knowing Burke...Sykora for Laraque.

Is Sykora really hurt or is it to keep him safe because a trade is looming?

why would they give up Lupul without getting any young talent back? Peca has been subpar, Dvorak is much older, Staios is a middle of the road defenseman. Why would Anaheim do this?

devo for sykora is one that I could see happening. Devo has proven to be an efective 2nd/3rd liner which the oilers have too many of. Sykora seems to need a team with a difefrent GM.

to one of the most realistic proposals in a while around here.

No, if Sykora performs like he has this year.
Yes, if Sykora scores like he can

Anaheim put Sykora on the I.R. today with the groin injury.

With many playmakers in Edmonton, I think Sykora will flourish in Edmonton. On the same note, I think Dvorak would do well in Anaheim. I'd definetely say it's fair.

one thing about Dvorak, he will give 100% every shift, can we say the same about Sykora...dvorak has struggled offensively this year, but he is very good defensivly, fast as he**, and at times can be very good offensivly...seems to have lost some confidence with the puck

I'm just going to name the players that most likely won't be traded, because there's not many of them.

Not going anywhere: Getzlaf, Perry, Lupul, S.Niedermayer, Selanne, Vishnevski

So guys please stop with the Vish proposals, because he isn't going anywhere. All the other players on the Duck's roster are probably available, but not the ones in that list. Carney and R. Niedermayer might be hard to get away from the Ducks, but I think it could be done.

One of his massive problems this year has been giving less than 100%. His problems has stemmed from not getting to pucks he usually does, and being behind the play.
