NEWS & NOTES

QUOTES TO NOTE

Actually, it seemed more like just a game than I expected. I wasn’t nervous. Things were going well down in the minors so I had a lot of confidence.
I was just playing my game. It’s a great opportunity. Any time you get called up, you get to show yourself.
I talked to a lot of other players and they said it’s important to play well whenever you get the chance.
- Carl Hagelin

I thought throughout the whole game game we were relentless. We were doing anything to get shots through.
And Mitchell and Hags (on my line), they were doing a great job down low.
The goal certainly felt good, but we were just trying to get some momentum back on our side with a strong shift. But the goal felt good. It had been a little too long (since I last scored).
- Brian Boyle

For some reason the past couple of games and I thought for a little bit in the first period tonight, it’s just you end up watching a little bit and you might be thinking too much.
It’s just a game of being spontaneous. We’ve just got to keep our legs going. You put a guy in like Hagelin, that speed that he has, I just think everybody grows off of that too.
Just one or two guys with some speed, I think your team looks quicker. We did it tonight, we’ve got a pretty big one tomorrow against a pretty good hockey club so hopefully we can bring some momentum into there too.
- John Tortorella

Come out on fire tomorrow, boys.

I want us to get back on a streak, so let's forecheck like we did tonight.

I want the same team that came out today to show up tomorrow.

I was reasonably happy with the offense and their sustaining of pressure but the defense was a little suspect.

Should be a good game; and I think if we can control Giroux we should be able to sneak out a "W".

Let's Go Rangers!!

Danny and McD HAVE to shut down Giroux.

We win if they do.

$100 says Hagelin scores tomorrow. Kid was INVOLVED tonight. Great stride and energy level. Reminds me of Callahan as far as non-stop involvement.

This game begins literally 19 hours after the previous one ended.

Very, very poor scheduling. Should never happen.

I know its early but this is a pretty important game in terms of the standings. Rangers Wash NJ and Buffalo all tied at 25 points. We have games in hand on everyone, but can be surpassed if we lose and Caps/Devils win tomorrow. On the flipside, a regulation win and we'll be just a game behind Philly with 3 in hand

Not buying it, not buying it at all.

Have the Flyers been scoring early this year? Yes. Do they possess a stacked O lineup for this game? Not at all.

I disagree. Washington had quite a bit of firepower and we held our own. I think as long as we work hard and create offensive chances we can hold our own against good teams. If we play like we did against FLA and MTL then I agree we don't stand a chance.

You guys are ruining my mojo. We are 9-1 when I make a negative post in the GDT before the game.

We are gonna lose. That's the bottom line.
