It's so frustrating, isn't it? You really can't take a night off against any team in this league. And that closeness is part of why we all love hockey. Right?

There really should be an option that says;

"I like everyone's play tonight, I vote for everyone"

Or something like that...

This was a TEAM win...

oh no. the flyers are missing pronger and jagr and van riemdyke...otherwise it would have been about 13-1 flyers.

Watched the game on Flyers broadcast.. their Micheletti was talking about how tired the Flyers were all game. This is the 2nd game for the Rangers in less than 24 hours brohan!

Still would take those guys over Micheletti, but can't have it all!

GREAT win. Gonna eat some crow and say Mitchell was good tonight. Hagelin is legit, he just doesn't stop going. The defense was fantastic tonight. MDZ, McD, Girardi and Sauer have stepped up unbelievably. Prust is still Rust, as always, BR and Cally are playing great hockey together, Gabby was dangerous tonight...this was the kind of game that shows you how good this team can be.

Lots of tough choices in a win like this one. I went:

Hank (goalie always has to get it in a shutout)
Hagelin (first NHL goal, great defensive forward play, second strong game in a row, Torts had him out on the last shift)
MDZ (really coming into his own - playing good, physical defensive hockey, starting to assertively dictate play on offense)

Surprised that more folks aren't voting for MDZ. We're really starting to see him blossom - not just on offense, but his complete game. He was fantastic positionally in his own zone, picked his spot to play physical and he's really starting to direct play on offense.

Yes it was Jones...for those of us outside NY the game was only available on NHL Network and they carried the Philly feed.

What ever will we do without the Crusher in the lineup?

Torts on Prust:

"He has balls as big as the building, doesn't he?"

So, the Flyers were tired for having played an hour earlier and coming to NY from Philly, but the Rangers weren't, having played an hour later and coming from DC.

1. Hank - Shutout.
2. Prust - Two fights and drawing the penalty that led up to Richards PP goal. Plus, he kinda kicked Simmonds ass.
3. Hagelin - Being a great addition to our team, scoring his first NHL goal.

Was at the game, it was sick!

Hank was amazing, the top 2 lines were flying. Prust was a monster, kicking two *****.

Felt so good for Hagelin and when they announced his goal, the place was roaring!

Some **** got their own section way up high and were chanting throughout the game but we shut them up big time with our goals and our chants. "Flyers suck!" Was the theme of the game. Lots of bad blood in this one, the rivalry is more intense than its been in years.

P.S. Simmonds can go **** himself

Cheers until I get home, great game boys!

Was it clear to you at the game why that first goal was disallowed? Because I think it was a lot more obvious on replay than it was in real time.

We hang him when we lose, but I'm going to stick my neck out here, and say great job by Torts on the Match-ups.

The right Defense was always out. Our recent call ups are playing together, and we saw some production out of it. He recognized Cally-Richards, and Stepan-Gaborik long before any of us did.

And then sending Avery, Prust, and Dubinsky out to start the game, which i loved. The three guys that this Flyers team hates the most, right off the bat. Simmons was pissed to see Avery, Prust got a sparring partner. It worked, completely.

Erik Christensen should never play another game as a Ranger. LOVE Mitchells game. Hagelin played outstanding as well. That whole line is superb.

Not a fan, whatsoever, of the Dubi, avery and prust trio. I just think thats a waste of Dubis talent putting him with those 2 guys.

I don't think we'll see much of that line past tonight. If so, you'll be right.

Not clear at all. The whole arena was in disgust. He didn't kick it, what the **** gives for that? I'm glad Richie said **** you to the refs and scored again

But yes, I'm curious as to why it was disallowed. Please enlighten me. Thanks.

Yes, Torts definitely deserves praise when the team starts rolling like this. Rolling is so much more entertaining than juggling.

Callahan shoved the puck in with his glove. The call was 100% correct, Richards never had the chance to touch it. Either the play was idiotic by Callahan, or he didn't do it on purpose (more believable).

Callahan got a glove on it and threw it in between his legs. The only person who could see it was Bobrovsky and the camera. So the ref was obviously going to call it a goal, but it wasn't going to survive replay.

He should replace Boyle and be playing with Hagelin and Mitchell. Hag's speed would do wonders for dubi

Ah. Didn't know that. Looked 100% like Richards hit it in. I hate that they don't show the replays when the goal is under review, they only show you on TV, not at the Garden, so the whole arena had no idea why it was disallowed.
