I voted for Hank, Cally & Prust, but really a team effort all around. I love when it is really diificult to pick just 3.

Too many to mention but I think Dubi deserves some credit.

And BR just brings it every night.

Prust said him and Rinaldo made arrangements for fight after puck drop: I said "We should probably start this with a tilt, eh? He said sure"

Prust said he also had " just a quick chat" with Simmonds before both headed to box for USC, made eye contact once out and went to work

You do realize that Pronger and JVR have the same amount of points as Gabby and Richards?

It's called perspective

Kalle/Calle is the most common nickname for Karl/Carl in Sweden.

Example: ex-Cap Calle Johansson, is actually named Carl.

You know we lost 2 games in the last 11, right? That's just not acceptable. The team must go 11 for 11 or we will boo!

How is Larry Brooks supposed to write columns right now? Avery is with the club, playing with Dubinsky, doing relatively little. The team is winning, players are buying into Tortorella's system, and Richards is performing.

What can he find to whine about right now?

Henrik Lundqvist is at a 936 sv%, and it looks like he wont be voted into the all star game.

I always knew it was possible to learn defense, but it's incredible how quickly he's picked it up. Every game he's gotten better. One shift, he was facing a speeding forward who just got a puck at full speed. MDZ cut off his route, forced him to move along the boards and then slammed him hard. Then he took the puck and calmly moved it up. That was Staal-looking stuff on that play.

He'll always be an offensive guy who will take risks, but his defensive play has gone from horrific to at least average, maybe better than that. If he keeps working at it, he could learn to be a very good defensive player.

I fully knew it. Just pretended not to so people would point it out, now everyone is aware of it and it strengthens his campaign. Marketing at its finest

Will Shanahan punish Briere for cross checking MDZ in the face? Even the maximum $2,500 fine. Tavares got fined $2,500 for slashing Parise. Tavares wasn't given a penalty on the play. Zuccarello was fined $2,500 for boarding Kyle Clifford. Zucca got a 2 minute penalty for boarding.

Did anyone else notice how Torts put Boyle, Hagelin and Mitchell out there for the last shift of the game? If I were a rookie, scored my first goal and got the vote of confidence to play the final minutes defending a lead against the highest scoring team in the league, I'd sleep pretty well tonight.

B-b-but the posters on the main board said the Rangers just beat bad teams and don't stand a chance against teams like Philly and Washington.

Great all around game, very happy to see Hagelin get his first career goal and Henke get a shutout. It's really hard to find something to criticize this game, great effort by everyone.

3 Stars: Lundqvist, Girardi and Callahan.

Exactly. That was one of the plays I was thinking of when I typed my previous comment. Very stoked for his development.

Briere was suspended three games last year for cross-checking Frans Nielsen in the face.

To be fair, Nielsen has an extremely cross-checkable face:

So does Briere. I'd love for Prust to grab him and smash his face in. Dubinsky PLAYS like a little weasel? Well you look like one, you punk.

I kinda like Briere, to be honest. Don't know why, but I do. Though that crosscheck was pretty stupid and blatant.

Why do I always love the hated players?
