Also I love the Flyer's fans saying they'll dominate us when they're healthy.

We shut their offense down without our best defensive player.

I'm not scared of their team, and i'm glad their fans are so cocky. Nothing better than embarrassing Philly and their fans.

HM: Feds, Prust... Feds was all over and Prust doing what he does best.

I like what I've seen from Mitchell and Hagelin these past two games, hopefully this leads to EC being perma-scratched, waived, or traded.

Carl wore #12 at Michigan, #39/#26 with the Whale, and #20 with Tre Kronor.

Well he can't wear 12 because Gernander's jersey is retired.

Someone also called a 30 save shutout by Henke.

29 saves. Close enough.

Oh, and the guy above you called it.

Hagelin reminds me of Versteeg. Fast with a nose for the net.

AHAHA, just saw that Andreas Nodl left the game today after colliding with Briere (THAT WAS FUNNY). Great ****, teammates injuring each other, what else can you ask for! Good job Briere!

The Blueshirts out-shot the Flyers in the contest, 32-29, and remain the only team in the NHL who are undefeated when out-shooting their opponent (6-0-0).Adam Rotter

1. John Tortorella:
Great game for Torts. When team plays like ****, we are very quick to point the finger at the Coach, naturally. I'll point out that this game had his name written all over that, stellar defensive play, refusing to be out intimidated, playing as a unit of ONE. Well done, JT.
2: Johnny Malkin: Not sure if its shiny new toy syndrome, but I love what he brings to the team, on both sides of the puck. If he can keep this up, he'll be a solid bottom sixer who can adequately fit into his role.
3: The Captain: He has these kind of games where he is just EVERYWHERE on the ice. I was at the game and his effort and IQ was just truly remarkable. That screen on the PP goal was pure brilliance. Him and Brad are playing excellent hockey right now!

-Pruster deserves some serious love as well, but we kind of just take him for granted at this point.
-McD made some superb defensive plays today, so quick to react on the poke-check. Keep it up kid.
-Del Zotto is continuing to excel in terms of figuring out defensive positioning. The idea of him getting top 4 minutes would have made us all vomit in the summer, but he's found his niche.

Hagelin is playing very well and is making it his job to stay in the NHL, cuz he doesn't want to face the harsh words of Gordon Ramsay, er... John Tortorella

Looks like I have to fly from JFK to Buffalo every time the Rangers play now...that's gonna get expensive.

Awesome to see Hags put up his first NHL goal and really begin to solidify his spot in the Rangers lineup every day. If he can just be consistent by using his speed, I think Torts is gonna have him stick around.

Mitchell again with another point...makes you wonder what they're going to do with EC when Rupp and Wolski are healthy...

Not really sure that's something we should be laughing about. You don't like to see that. LaFontaine's Rangers (and NHL) career ended after he collided with Skrudland (or was it Keane?) at center ice

Sorry, but I'm laughing. It's the Cryers and they run each other like idiots. I hate Briere as well, so I'm happy that he just injured his own teammate. I'm not laughing at the fact that Nodl is hurt, I'm laughing at how he got hurt.

NEW YORK – As the crowd rose and roared, the young man playing in his second ever National Hockey League game reveled in the adulation from the capacity crowd at Madison Square Garden.

Carl Hagelin, called up from the AHL Connecticut Whale on Thursday, scored his first NHL goal 5:06 into the third period to give New York (12-5-3) their second goal of a 2-0 win over the Flyers (13-7-3).

“I got goose bumps from that,” Hagelin said of the congratulatory standing ovation. “Such a great crowd here, they really love their team. The best fans in the world.”

Anybody know the name of the song they've been playing at the end of wins at the Garden? The song that was playing during the celebrations and stick salute...thanks.

Personally, the original is MUCH better. Flo Rida ruins such a great song. Although Flo Rida's is more fitting for a celebration song, much more "lively".
