Yeah, the expansion draft rules were a joke. But Doug Lidster did have some big games in the playoffs.

I was heartbroken, but most of my fellow Rangers fans at the time thought Corey Hirsch was the next Eddie Belfour, so it made it easier to digest.

2: Johnny Malkin: Not sure if its shiny new toy syndrome, but I love what he brings to the team, on both sides of the puck. If he can keep this up, he'll be a solid bottom sixer who can adequately fit into his role.
3: The Captain: He has these kind of games where he is just EVERYWHERE on the ice. I was at the game and his effort and IQ was just truly remarkable. That screen on the PP goal was pure brilliance. Him and Brad are playing excellent hockey right now!

-Pruster deserves some serious love as well, but we kind of just take him for granted at this point.
-McD made some superb defensive plays today, so quick to react on the poke-check. Keep it up kid.
-Del Zotto is continuing to excel in terms of figuring out defensive positioning. The idea of him getting top 4 minutes would have made us all vomit in the summer, but he's found his niche.
He also had this to say about Hagelin and Mitchell:

I think that's actually not something to be proud of. It highlights just how rarely we actually outshoot the other team.

Everyone laughed when we heard that.

And the "balls" comment was great too.

Am I the only one who thinks Sauer's been struggling a little bit? He's been a giveaway machine.

I'm in no way worried, just observing is all.

Wooh, slow down there big fella. Versteeg has 12 goals and 25 points this year, perhaps it's just the speed part and a nose for the puck? I personally think Hagelin will stick and be a fairly good bottom six contributer.

Why, Girardi and McDonagh played yesterday so we weren't missing our best defensive player(s)!

Which bar, Local? I was told Stralman is really nice. Deveaux was fine when I met him.

Not the worst comparison, but Hagelin reminds me of a faster Anisimov, honestly. Similar stride, just Carl is smaller and much quicker. They both pivot very similarly though.
