Not that I've seen. Guess I'm just assuming that he'll be in. I think he blogged about it saying that he's still not sure if he's playing but he hopes he is or something along that line.

For his sake I hope he is. Sitting this long is getting a bit ridiculous. MacLean should send him down if he's not using him at this point. Bring someone else up as the 7th D for now if they really need one. Rundblad needs to be playing.

Yeah, MacLean said it today after practice. Don't want to look for the link, but I saw it on Twitter today somewhere.

True...I'd be satisfied with some sort of explanation at this point if he's not playing. If he's stuck here with no playing time because we only have 7 healthy D and they prefer Lee...just say so.

He could have easily taken the limo to Bingo tonight and right back to Ottawa afterward as far as I know?

Are they dodging the question or is our media too dumb to ask?

Nice to know. Wonder how much time he'll get or if he's going to get the same kind of shaft that most of the young guys coming back for a second stint in the line-up have had.

Damn, figured it'd be all over twitter.

Edit: Yeah it's there.

He'll pick up Lee's 15-17 minutes roughly if all things go well.

Except Lee has averaged roughly 14 minutes a game since November 4th.

That was the lowest amount of time that Rundblad got in any of his games. Would be disappointing to see him get such little time like Lee.

Well, it's his 3rd time coming back. But seeing how he's been out for so long, I wouldn't be surprised to see MacLean monitor his minutes.

You don't tire do you.

He's indirectly replacing Lee...it's likely that he takes the least icetime of Dmen. The pairings probably change up a bit. I'd expect 14-16 minutes...similar even strength minutes and a bit more PP time then Lee got on the PK.

It's his first game back. He'll get more ice if he earns it...this will be a slow progression though because he's firmly behind Karlsson for big minutes and the young guy earning more ice right now is Cowen. It's all a process, not all of our 20-21 year old Dmen will be playing top 4 minutes this early in the retooling process.

Edit: post 185 is reasonable.

As long as he's back for a stretch of games I don't mind his minutes being monitored the first few, but if he comes back gets like 12 - 15 minutes and then gets taken out of the line-up again I'll be left shaking my head.

Well Rundblad isn't competing with Cowen for minutes. They play two completely different roles and different sides of the ice.

With that said our PP is struggling hard so maybe he'll get a decent opportunity there. I don't expect him to jump from out of the line-up to huge minutes, but I don't want to see what has happened with some other players (minor minutes -- Filatov, Lee -- then back out of the line-up because they didn't become world beaters.)

TBH I won't be surprised to see him in the A sooner than later. Unless of course, there is a dman moved.

All I mean is it may take a little while before all 3 of those guys are playing in top 4 minutes. Cowen's not even there yet but he's certainly in the middle of showing coaches consistently he's ready for more work. I think they had him out there with Karlsson in the 2nd half of last game. They might slowly feel that out going forward.

He's not gonna get the Filatov treatment...unless he gets benched. If all goes well he'll play similar minutes as he did before. Filatov got that because we had better checking line wingers and we had guys filling scoring roles better then he was. Lee didn't really get poor treatment...he's just so average at anything that 14-15 minutes is all he's going to get on that D group.

IMO were a ways a way from DR taking time away from Gonch and Karlsson on the back end of the PP....despite recent struggles they remain top 5 or so in the league because of how strong they were to begin. They'll get time to get it back, and I think the reason the PP is struggling is because teams are targeting the strength of our PP....which is the work those two were doing.

Congratulations David Rundblad

I wasn't able to get a stream to work for tonight's game, but I see that DR7 got his first NHL goal! Congratulations to you, David, and hopefully that is just the first of many in a Sens uniform for you for years to come.

Lee must be thinking: "Damnit, I'm gonna be in the stands for a while..."

Wrister from just inside the blue line, with Konopka screening the goalie.

Nothing special.

Hmm, I guess Waffler's standards when it comes to sex aren't as high as the rest of ours.

Classic Rundblad wrist shot goal from the blue line. Saw a lot of those in his highlight clips.
